"Well I am waiting!" He said hastily.

"Shut up and let me think!" she called angrily. She had an idea. "Get me onto that things head."

Gandal ran to where she stood, "Get on my shoulders, I will attempt to throw you." He said glumly.

"Alright." She clambered onto his shoulders and crouched. "I'm ready when you are."

Gandal put all his strength into his shoulders and pushed, extending his shoulders so Kai flew through the air.

Kai grabbed her sword mid air and landed on the hand of the beast. She ran up it's arm and onto it's shoulder. She jumped from it's shoulder to it's head and swung her sword down into it's skull.

Gandal stood there and gawked.

The creature fell down. It was dead. She jumped off it's head and took her sword with her at the same time. She landed beside Gandal. "Like I said," she puffed. "There is always more than one option."

"There is bound to be way more than that." Gandal said,staring at the dead creature with fear.

"That is enough for now. We can evacuate the village and finish it off then. Providing it's ready to fight." She looked at Gandal from the corner of her eye. Then put her sword into it's scabbard on her back and walked toward the village.

Gandal nodded, following her; speechless.

They reached the outskirts of a large village by nightfall. If the beast was coming after them, she didn't know why it hadn't already.

Gandal hid in the shadows, being comforted by the lurking darkness. The moon cast a faint light over the them, showing large cobbled walls; protecting the village. Gandal hadn't saw a village this well protected; it made him feel safer; more confident. He smiled grimly, moving stealthily through the shadows; trying to find an entrance.

"Gandal," Kai whispered loudly. "Over here." she pulled open a small iron gate. "It was unlocked. What can I say," she said with a shrug.

Gandal nodded, not making any sounds. He followed Kai, into the village.

The two walked silently through the village. "It's quite," Kai muttered quietly. "Too damn quiet. Something's not right. I'm getting a bad vibe here."

"I'm not getting anything. Maybe they are in some sort of lock down?" Gandal suggested.

"Hmmm," she said. "That's odd. How can you not feel that?"

"Uh... I dunno." He mumbled as they strolled through the empty streets of the village.

"There has to be something wrong. There would normally be people in these streets. Especially with walls so high. This village is like a fortress."
