Before Gandal could react he could see more shadows approaching... maybe even... hundreds... filled with roars. "Hide! Now!" He yelled, taking cover behind a nearby tree as the squeals of the screamers were heard.

Kai followed his instructions hiding behind a boulder.

Gandal then noticed what was going on, he readied his sword, slightly coming out of his cover so he could get a better look. "Look's like we're at the village but they're in the middle of a battle."

"No. Really. I would never have guessed that," she said sarcastically.

Gandal laughed as he caught glimpse of a man being attacked by a screamer. He rushed forward, slicing at the monster's leg's. The man smiled before heading for a fresh opponent.

"Boys," Kai mumbled with a laugh. She stood and shot a screamer trying to maul a little girl.

He twirled his sword in his hands as the fog started to dissipate, revealing the high cobbled walls; replicating walls of a castle. "Oh... woah..." He mumbled as more screams sounded in the distance.

Kai turned to look at the the cobbled walls. Then she saw the gate, wide open. "Gandal! Help me close the gate," she called out to him.

Gandal ran forward with her, his eyes stung by the fog, he slashed wildly at screamers as they pounced at him. At last he reached the gate, dead bodies scattered over the battlefield. He pushed at the large wooden gate, amazed by how large it was.

Kai pushed on the other side of the gate. "Let's hope it holds."

Gandal moved backwards a couple of steps before sprinting forward, hands outstretched as the gate started to budge, "I really wish BlueBird was here right now." He said through gritted teeth.

The boy finally reached a town, albeit one that was consumed in a chaos.
Which was good, as he was itching for a fight.

He ran up to the gate, and knocked some figures back-- he didnt recognise them, but they had a bloodthirsty aura.

Gandal ran back, ran forward and pushed the gate. He completed this process several times before the gates were just about shut.

Kai watched Gandal and shot all who came near him. If they could get the gate shut then the village should be safe.

'One last push!' He yelled through gritted teeth, Kai's bullets whizzed past him, the browns of the monsters fading around him. Gandal moved back. Moved forward. The gates finally slammed shut with a resounding bang.

Kai let out a sigh of relief. She placed her bow over her torso and relaxed slightly. "Thank you Gandal."

'No prob-' Before he could finish a tentacle gripped his leg, flipping him to the ground with a thud. His weapons clattered from his belt and more tentacles wrapped around his hands. Gandal cried for help as the monster started to drag him away.

"Gandal!" She grabbed her swords and gave chase, cutting and slashing at the tentacles as she went. She wasn't going to give up. She cut at the first tentacle on Gandal's arm, then the other. More came and took their place. It wasn't going to work. She jumped from tree trunk to tree trunk, sheathing her blades as she went. Then something cold and slimy grabbed her leg and started curling around her. "NO!" She fell to the ground. Suddenly, she was dragged beside Gandal. What is this?

((I guess Shibe is going to come to the rescue? ))

(Dunno. I hope so. Or we can fight the damn thing or something)

He ran past the dark masses, slashing them with his weapon. They had to be here somewhere-- this was where the shout came from, and this was where the greatest concentration was...
He sees a figure-- no, two familiar figures, right under the tree-- and rushes towards them, hurling at the mass, with a combination of stalagmites of ice and black chains pushing the dark mass out of the way.
As soon as he approaches them, and sees that they're ensnared, he cuts the mass that's immobilizing them.

She had never been more happy to see Bluebird. She got to her feet and dusted herself off before going over to Gandal and helping him up. "Thank you. If it weren't for you, we'd be dead," she said calmly and with a smile.

Gandal jumped to his feet, sighing with relief, 'Where have you been?' A grin blossomed upon his face to see the group back together once again.
