"Do you see what I'm talking about now?" she called. She jumped from the tree, grabbed her sword from her back, and slashed down on the tentacle. It was severed from it's body and screeched in pain. Blood spurted onto her body.

Gandal dropped onto the ground with a loud thud. Fortunately he hadn't been injured severly -- yet. He rolled to his feet in a fighting stance, a crimson dagger in his left hand. He yelped as pain crackled up his ankle. He ignored the feeling as he hobbled to safety; the monster howling wildly.

Kai lunged at the shadow. She slashed at every tentacle that came toward her. She spun and dodged, slashing as she went. She jumped, twirled and plunged her sword into the beast. Her sword was stuck in it's skull. She jumped down and took her sword out. She landed in front of it with her arm out in front and her legs in a flying side kick position, ready to lunge or run if she had to.

((Ahem. This monster is as big as like 50 houses.))

He balanced himself up on top of the tree, getting a clearer view of the beast... Shocked at what he saw, he gripped his weapon tighter.... A melee attack, especially from the likes of him wouldn' t help much... He reached for a mana potion, and summoned 8 icicles, each one pointing to the sky, piercing a tentacle. Or so he hoped-- he could only manage to lower himself to the ground by means of collapsing, and didnt exactly have enough energy to get up.

((Well it is, and it's like 12 hotels. And the tentacles are enormous.))

Gandalcame to the cover of a tree, letting the shadows give him comfort.

(Scratch that last post. Okay? Damn. Now I don't know what to post!)

Gandal moved swiftly in the shadows, "We need to get away from it!" he called, climbing up a tree, lifting himself back into the branches. The monster roared, vibrating the ground.

Kai struggled to stand. She jumped and grabbed onto a tree.

Gandal covered his ears as he jumped, the screaming was too much for him.

"What do we do?! We can't let it roam free!" she called to Gandal.

Gandal screamed over the horrible monster's cries, "We will kill it when we get help from the village!"

"How many souls are you willing to risk? There are too many people there."

Gandal made no reply for a moment, "It's too powerful." He said finally.

"Then we are risking the lives of many, to destroy one. This makes me sick," she grumbled.

Gandal sighed, "It is our only choice." The monster destroyed nearby trees; demolishing the forest.

"There is always more than one choice Gandal. You are just failing to think of alternatives," she said sternly.

Gandal faltered to say anything, "Why don't you suggest something?" He yelled, running as he spoke, the monster advancing.

"Because I'm still thinking. There has to be another way."
