Kai saw the villiage in the distance and walked faster. I need to help them

((Wait, we are already near the village?))

(It's a different villiage. One that wasn't on the map.)

((Oh okay.))

"Why the rush?" Gandal said, trying to keep up with Kai.

She ignored him and kept going. I need to help them.

"Help? Please, there aren't any beasts near them, less much one that could actually harm them..." right? Nontheless, the girl was still accelerating near the town, and they needed to stick together, so he picked up the pace and started to run instead of simply floating in the shadows at a relaxed pace.

"It is best we head for the village we were originally going to go to." Gandal suggested, "We don't need to see another town being destroyed before our eyes."

"We stay here for the night. We need to rest as well. And I need to see if there are any other Outliers here. If there are, I need to warn them." She began to run. She was desperate to help them in any way she could. She also wanted some new clothes. Hers were getting stiff from the dried blood.

He stumbled, not being used to running so fast... He should probably get a change of clothes; this was the third time his long cloak got in the way.... Rest sounded good, but he really didn't need to go to a town for it, the dark forest was just fine.
Getting the feeling that she wouldn't listen to any of his arguments anyways, he took off his cloak while running, as an attempt to make it easier for him to catch up with her.

She burst through the thicket of forest and stopped, panting. Her heart was beatng fast enough for it to jump out of her body and her clothes were making her itchy. She walked slowly through the centre of the village. There were people in the centre waiting for the group.

Gandal just caught up to her as she came to an abrupt halt, "well, uhh..." He mumbled, turning his head towards Kai awkwardly.

Bluebird simply ran out of energy near the end, and simply floated up to them, too tired to care.... he set himself down next to them, and took the time to gather his energy again.
"So... what now?"

Gandal nodded, he gave a little wave to the villagers, a soft smirk on his face.

Kai had ignored them and walked to the centre of the camp. She looked around and sighed. "Are there any Outliers here?" she asked loudly. Everyone knew what they were except Bluebird. Which was strange because he was one. She glanced at him. What was he?

Gandal followed, seeing the awkward glance he was getting of the villagers.

A young girl stepped forward. "They sleep in that tent there," she said in a soft voice. Kai bent down to be eye level with the girl. "Thank you," she said with a smile. She could see the fear in her eyes. "Is it going to get us?" Kai saddened. She had asked the same question to Gandal when she was young. "No. I won't let it." She stood and began to walk to the tent the girl had pointed at. I hope they already know.

Gandal followed, wporry tracing his small steps towards the large tent.

Kai walked up to the zip of the tent. "Is there anyone in?" she asked. A young man around the same age as her walked out. He was tired. She could tell by the look in his eyes that they had disturbed his rest.

Gandal stpped through, entering the threshold of the sturdy tent. He left Kai to do all the taslking, he didn't want to ruin their chance of getting help. Afterall, Kai was the smarter one when it came to speech.

She spoke with the man for a while and manged to get some clothes and a place for the travelers to sleep for the night. In the same tent as the Outliers. She was happier now. She told Gandal and shoved some clothes into his arms. "You should get cleaned up. We can leave tomorrow when the sun rises."

'Thanks.' Gandal mumbled, still unsure of his surroundings, he headed to a small tent he had recently set up, hesitiation in his slow steps. He felt as if... Something was not right.

Kai got changed into a long sleeved shirt, baggy jeans and a long hooded trench coat. She walked out of the tent and attached her weapons to her person. It looked so peaceful. She hoped it stayed that way.

He reluctantly accepted the housing; even though it would be easier to tell if there were any beasts approaching by spending the night outside, it would seem suspicious, and besides, he got new clothes. Nonetheless, he went outside, spending the remaining time enjoying the darkness of the night.

Kai walked into the tent that Gandal had set up. She lay down on the hard ground and sighed. She was not going to get any sleep tonight. She would more than likely spend it outside with Bluebird. She didn't remove her weapons. Nor did she shut her eyes. She just rolled over onto her side and placed her head on her arm.

Gandal sat up, moving towards Kai, placing a cold hand on her frail arm. "We're going to get out of this, aright? Together." He moved his hand down to hers, gripping it tightly.
