"Well, dunno, I wouldn't want to disturb his slumber." He put emphasis on the word slumber, as if it was a joke. He laughed to himself quielty, well, more of a soft murmer. He gripped his coat, slinging it over his arms and adjusting it so he layed nicely, giving him warmth.

Kai gave a soft chuckle. "Are you sure you want to go?" she said helping him put his coat on.

"Quite so." Gandal said, "Are you coming?"

"Of course I am. What do you take me for?" She laughed softly. "Where do you want to go?"

'How about we check out the hospital?' He said, 'I am curious.' He winked, exiting the building hastily.

Kai stopped confused. What was with the wink? She followed him anyway. She, also, was curious.

Gandal felt his pocket, relieved to feel his holster. The cold air stabbed their skin as they headed towards the half destroyed hospital, surrounded by dozens of blue and red lights.

"Do you think this is a good idea? What if those people who are trying to kill you know you're here?"

Gandal turned around, winking again then went back to his route. As he turned back he smiled, clicking his fingers joyfully.

Kai laughed. She had never seen anyone so daring before. She wanted to know what that felt like, but everywhere she went, people died. So she never did anything stupid.

Gandal approached a corner and turned. There it was, half a hospital - half a pile of rubble. He continued, heading straight towards a police car.

She turned him to face her. "What are you doing? Do yo want you're death bed early?"

Gandal sighed, opening the car door asa dead body fell out. 'I am not that dumb.' He grunted as he moved the body onto the road, 'get in before they spot us.'

"You don't plan on living long do you?" she asked getting into the car.

Gandal laughed, twisting the key that'd been left in and the car rumbled to life. He stepped down and sped down the road. Another car behind them pulled off... Chasing them.

"I'll take that as a no then," Kai said buckling herself into the car seat. "This is going to be a bumpy ride."

Gandal swiftly turned corner after corner, behind them, shots echoed through the streets, some hitting the car gandal commandeered. 'This was perfectly planned!' He yelled, laughing.

She laughed. "Sure it was. Where do you plan to go now?"

'Casino.' He winked again as the car skidded to a halt at an array of apartments, 'run.' He got out of the car, sprinting down a dark alleyway.

She followed him. She was not going to be alone again.

Gunshots sounded in the distance as Gandal delved into the dark alleyway. 'Faster.' Gandal said, despair crawling into his voice. They came to a fence, towering high, wrapped with barb wire. On their left was a window, leading into a blank room. Gandal nodded, taking out his gun and batting it against the glass, abrublty the substance shattered and he crawled through.

Kai followed. She was getting tired but she had to keep going. "When can we rest?" she huffed.

"Rest is for babies." Gandal snickered, the darkness had swallowed them whole and the floorboards around them creaked earily. "Just keep moving." He was going to say and watch out for spiders, but instead; he said nothing... nothing at all.

Kai heard a rat scuttle across the floor and did a little dance to make sure it didn't trod on her. "Gross..."
