"He'll be back soon." He muttered, "You ready to get going, we don't have much time left before the soldiers come for a final scout."

Alana nodded softly and stood, heading to the door.

Victor followed, slowly opening it as he glanced at Chase, at the end of the street with his head directed to the clouds above. "Come on." He said with slight haste as he gave her a gentle tug on the arm, ushering her out of the dark cellar and into the windy streets.

Alana stumbled a little but followed after him.

"Chase." Victor whispered, "Wait up." He moved quicker, coming to his side with long stride, awaiting Alana to join them. After a few seconds of hesitation, he continued with the plan, "Stick to walls and shadows, stick together and move back as quietly as you can if you see anything."

"Anything." Victor put much more stress on the word as he looked down the street. "You guys ready?"

Alana nodded softly and glanced at Chase.

Chase nodded, "Looks like a storm is about to come over us, so we shouldn't hesitate." He said with glum expression, moving forward, followed by Victor as they pressed themself against the walls of the rundown buildings, amidst the gloom.

Alana followed.

"Just look ahead, you won't see anything that way." Victor muttered as he slipped behind Alana, staying close to her, just in-case anything made her unstable again.

Alana nodded softly and watched ahead.

At least half an hour passed, until they heard multiple scuffs of boots coming toward them. Chase instinctively stopped and pushed both Victor and Alana into the nearest building - an abondoned shop with a small counter in the far left corner and a few shelves. Wordlessly, Victor slid himself under a shelf, hiding in the gloom, ushering for Alana to follow.

Chase moved behind the counter, peeking over the counter slightly as the scuffing of boots came closer.

Alana hid in the building but instead of going under the shelves she instinctively followed Chase behind the counter and crouched down beside him. She looked around to get a grasp of their surroundings and that's when she saw the dead shop owner only a few feet away from her. She gasped and stared, her eyes going white.

Chase gasped as he followed to where Alana was staring, his head whirring back to the shop window to notice the soldiers coming into a view; a whole squad of them.

Victor, still under the shelf, lowered his breathing and stayed completely still, hoping the shadows would be enough to conceal him.

Alana's eyes had gone completely white and she started to stand up.

"Alana, what the hell are you doing?" Chase whispered fiercely, trying to drag her back to the ground. "You're going to get us all killed. Get down."

Alana couldn't hear him and she looked at him with her glowing white eyes then continued to stand up with impossible strength.

Abruptly, one of the soldiers turned their heads, looking straight at Alana. He instinctively went for his radio, "We found the girl." He said quickly as the other four soldiers turned, loaded their guns and stared at Alana. "Come out, slowly, Alana." They said, spitting out her name as they strengthened the grip on their guns.

Chase and Victor stayed completely still, hardly taking a breath as the soldier slowly stepped into the shop.

Alana's eyes blazed as they entered the shop and they were blown away (or as some of them were... blown apart) by an explosion.

Abruptly, the soldiers fell back, some being torn by the blaze which erupted from nowhere. Some falling to pieces and others scrambling for their weapons and radios. Quickly, Victor slid from the shelf and Chase gripped Alana's shoulder, hissing into her ear, "We need to go, now." He said as Victor came to their side, gulping and not making much sound.

Alana didn't say anything, just stood there limply.

(Are Chase/Victor able to sling you over their shoulders or something, or is Alana still filled with a strength?)

Victor hastily grabbed Alana, slinging her over his shoulder. "Let's go. Now." He said somewhat calmly as he ran out from the shop, trying his best to move quickly with the girl over his shoulder. Chase followed with haste, ignoring the groans of some of the conscious soldiers which were lying on the ground, amidst their comrades limbs.

Alana's head bobbed up and down for a while as her glowing eyes dimmed and closed and she went unconscious.

They turned a corner with haste, moving into the cover of the darkness and broke into a jog, moving into an alleyway and sticking to the small roads and shadows. After about an hour or so, the air was filled with the wailing of sirens.
