Alana groaned in her sleep as the wailing sirens pierced her ears and split her head.

"I think we better hurry." Chase said after at least an hour of silence. They both sped up and eventually came to the city gates after another half an hour, escaping the deafening wailing the soldier's sirens produced.

Catching their breaths and recovering from the elongated trek, Victor placed Alana on the ground slowly, resting her head onto a wall which was on the edge of decay. "Looks like we're here. We just need to find a way to get out." Victor commented under his breath as he looked up at the insanely thick, towering walls which protected the city.

Alana rested fitfully, muttering softly under her breath in her sleep and twitching and turning.

"I guess we could go around-" Joseph began to say.

"No, much too risky." Victor rudely interrupted as he examined the thick walls, running his hand along it and trying to guess how tall it was. "The army would be at the city gates. We can't go there."

"Do you think we could dig under it, or something?"

"Hm..." Victor hesitated, before answering, "If I remember correctly, half of the wall is underground, so it'd be impossible." Upon Victor's answer, Joseph exhaled with frustration, slumping to the ground a meter away from Alana.

Alana was muttering names in her sleep, one of which was Chase's name.

Another few hours passed before Victor exclaimed, "Chase, come here." He ushered him forward, pointing to a part in the wall which was cracked and split, something he'd been ramming a rock in to for the past hour.

"Yeah?" Chase said, rubbing his eyes from the overwhelming drowsiness which forced him to stumble to the wall Victor was pointing at.

Victor smiled as he looked back at Chase, "I found a weak spot in the wall where I'm pretty sure is an entrance to a tunnel system which was covered up years ago." He tapped it, specks of rocks and dirt falling to the ground.

Alana groaned as she woke up.

Before Victor could continue, Chase was distracted by Alana inhaling loudly. Chase and Victor both knelt over Alana, propping her up into a seating position.

Alana groaned and opened her eyes. "What... happened...?" She asked as she held her head in pain.

Chase insitinctively held her hand, "You... you got angry. Your power came back. Then you fell unconscious." Chase said slowly, Victor going back to his wall which he began slowly slamming with a brick, trying to not make too much noise in the process. "We're at the city walls, now. We're safe."

Alana looked at him weakly then down at their hands. "I'm... sorry..."

"I guess you kinda saved us." Joseph shrugged as he looked back at Victor, before looking back at Alana, "How are you feeling?"

Alana sighed. "My head hurts..." She said quietly.

Chase nodded slowly before taking a step back, "I'm gonna go back and help Victor out. Call out if you need anything." He gave a soft smile before beginning to walk away.

Alana looked up at him and watched him walk away, feeling like she didn't want him to go. She shook the feeling off, she couldn't be feeling like this, not again.

Chase picked up a brick Victor had placed on the ground and quietly began slamming it against the wall, pieces of rock steadily crumbling to the ground as the hole in the wall became larger. As the minutes went by, more of the tunnel began visible and the sun began to steadily begin to go back down after the long day.

(I've lost track of what the time was in the role play, so I guess we could pretend it's evening or something.)

Alana watched him until her strength returned then she began helping him, using a rock she'd found nearby.

Another few hours had passed, the sounds of wailing sirens appearing before fading away, and the common helicopter flew past, forcing them into a house or somewhere that could give them shelter. The hole was now at least large enough for them to fit through, even Victor, whom was the largest of them all. "We all ready?" Victor said to Kristina and Chase, who both sat against the wall - Chase sipping at a drink and wiping away the accumulated sweat.

Alana looked at him and nodded. "Yes..."

Chase gave a nod of his head, dropping the brick as he moved over to Alana. "You sure? If you need more rest, that's fine." He said in a soft mutter, looking back at Victor whom was climbing into the tunnel, awaiting them both.

Alana nodded. "I'm sure..." She said softly and stood up.

"Alright." Chase gave a nod as he helped her to her feet, "I'll be right behind you."

Alana shook her head. "I'll take too long, you go first."

He hesitated before giving a nod, following Victor into the tight hole. Within a matter of seconds, he was encapsulated by darkness and a strange smell, crossed between mold and something rotting. Chase then looked back at Alana, awaiting for her to follow.

Alana looked at him sadly. "Thanks for everything..." She said and then suddenly the hole was filled again, separating them.
