Martin finally came across her limp, unconscious body - amidst the overgrowth and bruised badly. He slowly picked her up, stroking her hair with a half-hearted smile before walking through the forest.

Alana's fave was contorted in internal pain and she whispered. "No... Felix..."

Martin looked down at her with fear, "Alana..." He muttered, trying to be soothing as he exited the forest and began walking through the desert.

Alana began to tremble in her sleep. "Mark..... Arland..... Felix.... I'm sorry....."

Martin pulled back tears he moved through the barren landscape, carressing her cheek with a scraped hand. "No... Don't think that way." He tried saying soothingly, hoping it was somehow get to her.

Alana had tears slipping out her eyes. "My fault... get... away from me..."

Martin's moving became more slow as the harsh words slipped from her mouth, trying to ignore them as he passed through the fine sands and billowing winds. Her words stirred around in his head - if he had of left Alana alone, she would never of done this. She could be still living in her cave right now and everything would be alright. This was his fault. "I..." Tears began to fall from his eyes, "I should have listened to Arland..."

Though Alana said this, and kept murmuring that it was her fault and she should have stayed alone, her hand softly clutched Martin's shirt.

Martin stroked her hair once more as the destroyed sand stone house came back into view, amidst upturned dirt and the last remains of furniture.

Alana continued to look sad in her sleep.

He placed her on the remains of a table, placing a hand on her cheek one last time before slumping to the ground, wiping away sweat from his forehead as he marvelled at the stars.

Alana remained unconscious for a few hours before she woke with a groan.

Martin looked up at her with gleeful eyes, "Alana!" He moved into to hug her before slightly recoiling, taking a step back, "Hi."

Alana looked over at him and jumped up, moving away on the table. "What are you doing here!?"

Martin took another step back, "You... You were unconscious. So I brought you here." He muttered, looking at the ground - unable to make eye contact with her.

Alana looked away from him. "You shouldn't have come after me. You should have left me... I don't want to cause your death too...."

"No." He moved forward and placed a hand on hers, before leaning forward and kissing her on the cheek, "God, I've wanted to do that for a long time." Martin muttered before looking straight into her eyes, "This is no ones fault - you weren't able to control yourself. If you needed someone to blame, you could easily blame me." He said slowly.

Alana's eyes widened and she blushed brightly, looking at him in shock before looking away. "No... Felix gave his life to protect me. Mark was killed in the aftershock of what I dragged him into. And I personally killed Arland..."

"What happened back there, we were a team. No one can be blamed. Mark and Felix agreed to helping us, even if it meant death." Martin gulped, tears beginning to silently roll down his cheeks, "When you turned corrupt, it's your inner evil which controlled you. Nothing else. You had no control over yourself."

Alana looked up at him, crying softly.

Martin wanted to hug her, but he took another step back. "This isn't you fault." He repeated as he wiped his eyes with the end of his sleeves.

Alana looked down and started to cry harder, not holding back anymore, she wrapped her arms around herself as sobs wracked her body.

Martin finally moved forward, wrapping his hands around her, letting the tears fall from his eyes as his shoulders slumped.

Alana sobbed hard, calling out her friends' names.

Martin didn't know what to say, so he stood there, in the middle of the destroyed house - the stars twinkling and the moon dipping behind a massive cloud.
