Alana looked at him sadly and hugged him.

"Arland... Where's Arland?" He said, looking away from the gaping hole and burying his head into her arms, "Where is he?"

Alana looked at him sadly and held him tightly. "And if that horse and cart falls down... you'll still be the sweetest little baby in town..."

"No... He didn't fall down... No..." He muttered as he gripped her arm, looking down at the hole one last time, "No!"

Alana held him tightly, looking at him sadly.

"Put me down!" Martin said, as he tugged on her sleeve, clenching his eyes close to conceal the tears, "Put me down, Alana."

Alana looked at him sadly and slowly lowered them to the ground.

He jumped from her hand, noticing the blood, the bodies and the body parts strewn across the city walls and asphalt. "What... What have you done... What happened, Alana?" He asked, looking back at her, raising his voice, "What happened?"

Alana flinched and sung softly. "London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down."

"Talk properly for once, Alana!" He shouted, moving closer to her, a hair strand's away from her face. His breathing was contorted, his head throbbed and his heart hammered against his chest, "What did you do?"

Alana looked down and sang a different version of London Bridge. "Arland tricked us, wanted to kill, wanted to kill, Arland tricked us wanted to kill, me dear Martin..."

Martin looked away, unable to answer as he rested his back against a nearby wall, slamming his fist into it solemnly. A few minutes of silence passed, before his turned back toward Alana, "Did you kill him? Did you kill Arland?" He kept his voice low, fearing the anger which would soon outbreak, "When I saw you turned defective, I did not want to kill you!" His voice began growing louder once again - the anger rising.

Alana looked at him fearfully and started to shrink away. "Had no choice he wanted to kill, wanted to kill, wanted to kill, had no choice he wanted to kill, me dear Martin..."

"You killed him!" He roared, "You wanted to kill, Alana! You did kill! But no one's killed you!" He pushed her away with a strong hand, dropping to his knees as he began to sob.

Alana looked at him sadly and something snapped in her brain, something realigning, the her that was trapped in her dreams, the sane her that was always hating what she had become, came out and she looked at Martin now, with horror in her eyes. She looked down at her hands, trembling. "I... no... what have I done...?" She shook her head. "I wanted to stay away. I didn't want to hurt anyone else!" She turned and ran into the forest.

Martin looked up, "No!" He scrambled after her, through the asphalt, then the gravel road, then back to the forest. His speed increased as he followed her, "Alana, come back! I didn't mean it like that!" He stumbled over an awkwardly jutting root, his skin scraping against twigs and leaves as his head slammed against the trunk of a tree. With a moan, he scrambled back to his feet, his steps filled with pain as he continued to follow Alana, one hand placed on the bruise on his head.

Alana continued to run screaming back. "Don't come near me! You'll die too!"

Martin's shoulder slammed into a tree, making him twirl around - his head slamming into another tree - making him fall to the ground, sticks stabbing at his back. "Alana..." He muttered before falling unconscious.

Alana just continued to run.

Martin woke after a few hours, the sun finally settling down, throwing across a sheet of stars and darkness. He moaned, coming to his feet slowly, staggering against a tree before falling over once again - his knees buckling against the sheer pain which jolted throughout him.

Alana didn't know where she was going, she just ran until her legs gave out and she fell to the ground.

"Alana!" Martin called out, using the tree next to him for support as he came back to his feet. "Don't let me lose you again... please..." His voice fell to a soft rasp as he placed his hand against his neck, sighing.

Alana had fallen unconscious from hitting her head in the fall.

Martin began to scramble through the forest, treading with cauton and springing over whatever roots her saw, "Alana!" He repeated, the overgrowth beginning tot get considerably thick as he moved.

Alana was still unconscious.
