Alana ran up beside him, panting softly and looked around. "Yeah, that'll be great if we can find them..." She looked over to Felix and asked. "Can I ask you something?"

"Ask away." He said as he inhaled loudly and exhaled, placing both hands on his knees as he tried to regain his breath.

"Why did you stay and are trying to help us? You could have gone home. You could have returned to your normal life..."

Felix shrugged as he looked up at her, "For the first time in my life - I've felt as if I've actually done [i]something./i]" He said, smiling, "--and I want to help you and Mark out - you're a friend."

Alana nodded slowly then smiled brightly. "Thank you Felix." She hugged him. "You're a good friend." The hug didn't last long though. She heard a scream down one of the alley's. "What was that?" She said as she ran off in that direction.

(Is this scream a feminine or male scream?)

Felix's head pricked upwards and he went back on the run, "I'm assuming this-" He gasped for breath as he jumped over a large rock which lay in the path he was running toward, cursing before progressing with his sentence, "-this scream is coming from where Mark is."

Alana nodded and barreled down the alleyways toward the sound and skidded to a halt as she found the scene. A woman was being held back by a couple of police as her crying son was being dragged away. Mark was fighting with a couple of them and his gun had apparently been knocked away. The woman must have been human.

Felix retreated back to the shadows and pulled Alana back, "We need to find a way behind them so we can distract them." He said, swallowing his fear and replacing it with instantaneous confidence.

Alana nodded and saw and alleyway that appeared to curve around to the other side of them. "This way." She said, taking his hand and leading him off.

Felix grasped the hand, hesitated for a second before returning to his casual speed, turning around the corner to see a police car which had been left on, the red and blue light flashing subtly. He was instantly granted with an idea as he ran up to the abandoned vehicle. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" He said, smiling.

Alana smirked. "Maybe... if you're thinking..." She opened the door and climbed into the passenger seat.

He nodded and moved into the driving seat, his smile broadening as he gripped the wheel and began turning it, pressing a foot down in the pedal (Not sure if you call it a pedal, lol) and the car groaned as he reversed it. "The controls in this car are so complex." He said as he pressed a blue switch in the car and began hovering off the ground, smoke dispelling from the bottom of the ground.

Alana reached over. "I think it's this one you press to make it go forward." She said pressing a green button with an arrow pointing forward on it. "Now try."

He pressed it and the car accelerated down the alleyway toward the police, family and Mark. They turned around and started running toward the car, shouting out things Felix couldn't here. "Is there a gun in here?" He called over the humming over the engine which seemed to dominate every other sound.

Alana looked around and by some stroke of luck there was one below her seat, she grabbed it and stuck her head out the window, firing into the air in warning.

"If they get close, shoot them." He said as he skidded the car to a halt before reversing it, blaring the horn and turning on the sirens. Felix then went forward once again and rammed into one of the police man.

Alana nodded and they began firing, she pulled her head back in as they fired and when there was a break she stuck her head back out and fired at them, taking down two of them before they started firing again.

The police all turned toward the car and rolled toward cover, aiming their guns at the hijacked vehicle. Four shots rang out and the car came to an abrupt halt and Felix opened the car door and began running after Mark who was running with the family. He bent over one of the injured police officers and stole the gun, shocked by its large weight as he came to stand once again and continued running.

Alana ran after them and carried the gun she'd found, she was just about to catch up to them when she got shot in the arm. "Ah!" She tumbled to the ground from the force of it. She turned weakly and fired at the man who was approaching her.

Felix turned, then looked back at Mark before running back to Alana. He called out her name as he shot at two police which approached him. “It’s going to be alright.” He said in a hushed tone as he picked her up, placing the gun in his pocket before he did so. Felix then began running back toward Mark, only to be intercepted by Arland, who held a sniper rifle in his hands.

Arland pointed toward the place Mark was running, “Run, and don’t stop.” He said, “I’ll see you when I see you.” With his free hand, he saluted before running up the wall of a house and perching in the darkness.

Alana gripped her arm in pain as she was jostled around as Felix ran while carrying her. She bit her lip hard to keep from crying out in pain and watched through half closed eyes as Arland ran up the wall.

All Felix heard was a loud bang from behind him, another few occurring after that. He was tempted to turn around, but instead, he powered forward and caught up to Mark and small family - the sounds of sirens blaring around them.

Before Mark could open his mouth, a chopper came over them, two wings folding from its sides soundlessly as it zoomed down, a voice echoing from the cockpit of the monstrous machine. "Hands in the air, you're surrounded." The family which had been running with Mark huddled together and looked up at the machine, kissing her child twice on the cheek as tears began streaking her bloodied cheeks.

Felix then pulled the gun from his pocket and his hands shook - he hated what had happened and the events which had transpired earlier. Felix's hand went to go press the trigger on the gun, but the chopper shot first, and the mother which had been huddling her son was blasted back by a bullet. Mark then grabbed the revolver off Felix who was frozen still and shot at the chopper, glass on it shattering. He then shouted something, something Felix couldn't hear properly - his ears had popped from the chopper gun and the death of the mother. He could see the mother's child screaming at the police before placing his head on his mother's chest, sobbing.

Mark then grabbed Felix's arm and his ears popped once again - the sound returning to his ears. The chopper zooming around a building as smoke began dispersing from one of the wings. "Grab the boy!" Mark screamed, grabbing Alana from Felix's hands and running off, piercing the helicopter which another shot. Without any hesitation, Felix grabbed the boy and scooped him up in his cold hands, running after Mark as the sound of more shots beckoned after them, sending continuous and rapid shivers through his body.

All Felix could hear now was the boy's pleas for escape and for his Mum, his constant screaming and struggling. "No! Mum!" The voice echoed through the streets as they ran, "Mummy!"

Alana's breathing was growing shallower by the minute as the blood flowed freely from her arm and tears streaked her face as she heard the boy's cries, knowing without having seen the woman fall that he would never have her again.
