Mark then pointed to an army outpost off into the distance, "Right there - that's where we need to go." He said as he loaded his gun before placing it in his holster.

Alana was very confused but nodded and followed them.

Two guards approached them, but Mark simply shot them both in the chest, stepping over their dead bodies. Arland then flipped out both of his knives and pulled his cloak over his head. Martin simply walked, staring at the limp bodies which were on the ground.

Alana watched and then looked away as she followed them. She hated this. So much needless killing.

Mark slammed a foot into the metal door of the outpost, the door falling to the floor with a resounding crash. He then pointed his gun in the room as vapour inside began to dissipate. "All clear." He said as Arland and Martin rushed into the building - stopping at a staircase.

Alana followed, standing on guard, her mind at the ready.

"Alana." Mark said, pointing at an array of swivel chairs facing toward computer screens and keyboards, "Stay on guard down here." He said, placing a hand on the rails of the staircase.

Alana nodded and moved towards the chairs.

Mark then ran up the staircase and two gunshots rang out, Arland and Martin following. A disgruntled moan rung out from upstairs, a soldier's body tumbling down the stairs afterwards.

Alana kept her eyes turned away she kept an eye out for anything dangerous on the monitors.

Mark then came back down the stairs, holding a large, wooden crate with Arland. They dumped the crate nearby Alana, Martin following with a heap of tin food in a tray. "Alana." Mark said, looking up as sweat trickled from his forehead, "There should be a button on those computers which locks the door, can you find it?"

Alana nodded in confusion then looked over the buttons and finally found the one that locks the door.

The main doors hissed closed and vapour began to emanate from the massive lock which swung down over the frame. Mark nodded as he then leaned toward the computer, "There should be..." He muttered before pressing down a red button. "There." He said, standing back as the roof began to open back, folding open as a circular part in the floor began opening up - Martin having to jump away so it didn't open up with him on top.

Alana looked around confused. "Mark? What's going on? What is this?"

"We're catching our ride." He said as the floor fully opened up, and an aircraft moved out, elevated by a platform which hissed and whirred, emanating the sound of moving gears.

Alana stared in awe. "Wow..."

Martin jumped on the side of the chopper, Arland following, who slid open a door for Mark. "Hop in." Martin said, smiling slightly as he slid into a black seat which was covered with leather.

Alana nodded softly and climbed in, sitting in the seat beside him.

Mark slid into the driver seat, and Arland sat next to him, gesturing for Martin to close the door. Once the roof was fully folded back, Mark pushed forward a button. Two blades suddenly sprout from the top of the aircraft and began spinning through the air, spinning wildly as they began to lift into the air, coming closer to the threshold of the building, which would lead them to the Citadel.

Alana sighed and sat back, relieved to be sitting down. She looked out the window and watched as they flew through the air.

Men which had been charging at the outpost began firing at the chopper, volleys of bullets heading toward the hull of the machine which wildly swung through the air - Mark trying to grasps the concept of these concept controls. He placed his hand on an irregular shaped steering wheel and pushed it to the side, the blades slightly shifting so the helicopter would go left, dodging a missile which had been heading their way.

Alana looked out the window nervously as they continued to fire towards them.

"Computer!" Mark exclaimed as another volley of shots fired toward them, pinging off the durable metal which protected their very lives. A holographic screen flipped open in front of Arland, showing the men which were below them. He tapped the middle of the land and a missile shot from the hull, heading toward the soldiers. "Cover you-" Mark began to say as the missile hit the ground and a resounding bang emanated from the massive explosion, making the chopper sway from side to side.

Alana covered her ears a little too late and her ears rung and she didn't know if the silence was real or a loss of hearing.

Mark's eyes began to flicker as the sound pounded through the head, forcing himself to stay awake. He then swerved the chopper sideways once again and turned around, the forest coming into view through the manifestation of smoke which had accumulated. He then pressed forward, the steering wheel clicking into place and they moved forward.
