Felix chuckled as Arland picked up and spoke in a soft voice, slightly whispering, ignoring what Alana had said, "Alright. Follow us but keep your distance - if you see any suspicious activity, just report it. Over and out." He said as a beeping sound emanated from the device Felix held.

He smiled before progressing forward, stepping into the wealthy side of the streets, "Let's do this."

Alana nodded and walked with him, looking around silently.

Felix progressed slowly through the streets, looking down every road and every rooftop. He nudged Alana and leaned toward her, "Seen anything?" He said, whispering in case they were being watched.

Alana shook her head. "Nothing so far." She whispered back as she eyed the clean cut lawns, the identical extravagant houses, the curtain closed windows. Then she heard something. "Hey, what are you kids doing here?" A friendly looking man in a sun cap was sitting on his front porch, reading the electronic newspaper.

"No idea." Felix said as he pulled at Alana's shirt and then pointed to an abandoned building they could sneak through, "We're going to have to sneak around them." He said, moving sideways and half expecting for her to follow.

Alana nodded softly and walked after him but the man called again. "Can I help you two with anything? You look lost."

Felix paused, clearing his throat before looking at the man, then back at Alana. He hesitated before answering and stepped from the shadows, "We're just getting some food from our Mum - we ran out." He said, smiling falsely - his imposed glee betraying his true emotions.

The man nodded. "Alright. Be good now." He said with a smile before returning to his paper.
Alana looked at Felix and nodded, walking again.

Felix stayed away from the shadows, "I guess we're just going to have to stay exposed for a while - if we return to the shadows, he might think suspiciously." He shrugged as he stuck both hands in his pockets.

Alana nodded. "Yeah, but since we look like normal clones there's not much to be suspicious of."

"I guess." He said as he moved out of the elderly man's sight and returned to the shadows the large buildings splayed. He then brought the device to his mouth and pressed down a red button, "Mark, you hear me?" He asked, the same cracking noise emanating from it. After a few seconds of no reply, he answered again, his voice growing desperate, "Mark, Arland?"

Alana's eyes grew wide with worry and she tried it on her's with still no answer. "What happened..."

"No idea." He said as he put the device back in his pocket and began running forward, "We need to find them." Felix rushed ahead without any further sign of hesitation.

Alana nodded and ran after him, they were both incredibly fast in their searching.

An echoing gun shot rang through the silence, making Felix's ears prick and his senses opening up.His head shot to the side and he began running through an alleyway which was dimly lit by a few hovering street lamps.

Alana heard the shot too and she was shocked that Felix was actually running in the direction of it and she ran after him.

He then reached an alleyway which was exposed by light to see Arland holding the revolver, without any sign of Mark. Felix rushed forward and leaned toward him, coming down to his knees so he was at the same level as the man in clad black.

"Arland?" He asked, placing a hand on the man's shoulders, noticing the state of shock he had been placed in - judging from his disgruntled facial expression, "What happened here? Where's Mark?"

Alana looked on nervously as she approached them.

Arland didn't bother turning his head, he simply came to his feet and reloaded the gun, "He's chasing after these four guys which approached us - one's dead." He then turned toward the two and moved the gun in his opposite hand, "I couldn't catch up to him and I have no idea where he is now."

Alana's eyes widened and she covered her mouth, fearing the worst.

Before Felix could reply, he heard another gun shot and Arland began sprinting toward the sound, "We need to get to him - he's defenceless." He yelled, Felix following in hasteful manner, trying to keep up to the full grown man.

Yet, another gun shot rang out, pinging through the silence and making Felix's ears echo from the harshness of the sound. It definitely sounded like the guns the police squad used.

Alana dashed after them. "What are we gonna do?" She asked Felix. "We can't help, we don't have any weapons."

"I do have a different idea." Felix said between gasps of breath and the rounding of dozens of corner, "But it's risky."

"What is it?" She asked.

"We could distract the guys Mark is chasing and give Arland and Mark a chance to get them." Felix said as he lost track of Arland through the labyrinth of darkness. He stopped running and turned toward Alana, panting with exertion.
