"You might want to come and see this..." Phillip said, his eyes widening in horror as he saw the cluster of ripped apart bodies on the ground. His fingers shook and his eyes bulged, he wanted to look away but his eyes were plastered on the scene before him, "Where the hell did I teleport us?"

Kai struggled to stand. She hobbled over to him and held his shoulder for support. "Oh my god."

(Lol, I know right.)

He gave a slight shiver as he was able to look away, "What... What is this place?" He repeated, his voice cracking as his eyes stared at Kai's.

Kai looked away from the bodies. Her eyes met Phillip's. "I thought you would know."

Phillip shook his head, gagging as the horrible smell of blood and spew hit him. "What... What is this place?" He repeated, grabbing Kai's arm he could fill the spew consuming his throat.

Kai noticed Phillip's discomfort. "If you're going to vomit, please turn the other way." She covered her nose with her shirt. "That reeks."

"Tell me what this place is." Phillip said as urgency traced his voice, "Now. Please."

Kai shook her head. “I don’t know where we are or what this place is supposed to be but it looks like a dumping ground.”

Phillip shuddered as he moved away from the pile of bodies and shuddered once more before placing a hand over his nose. "Let's go..." He said, knowing he wouldn't be able to teleport for a few hours.

Kai nodded and went back into the barn house. "Where can we go? I don't know this area."

"We can either look in the house for supplies, as I assume it's going to be while before I can teleport us back or we can try and find somewhere out of here." Phillip said as his nerves settled.

Kai nodded her head and had a quick look around. She didn't see much of anything.

Phillip shrugged, "What did you want to do?" He said, unable to make the decision for himself. To be honest, he'd never been in such a vile situation likes this - his teleportation skills could get seriously out of control some times - and this was the second time that had happened.

Kai shrugged. "Sleep I guess. Teleporting like that seriously damaged my brain. I can't think straight."

He peered at the gloomy house ahead of him, seeing something move within the exposed corridors. Phillip squinted before laughing at the illusion which was being played on him. "Sleep." He said, bringing his hand to his mouth as a yawn was beckoned, "Definitely."

Kai smiled and lied on a small bale of hay in the barn. It was propped up enough to be comfortable. She shut her eyes and quickly fell asleep.

Phillip shot one last glance at the building before placing his head in the stack of hay and sighing. So many questions ran through his head and sleep would not come easily. He tossed and turned for an hour before settling into a deep slumber - his curiosity settled - for now.

Kai woke a few hours later, haunted by the images of the deceased outside. Sweat ran down her forehead, her eyes frantic, showed her distress. She sat up and hugged her knees, cradling herself, trying to calm down.

The slight thunk of metal emanated from outside and the squelching of boots followed. Phillip's eyes instantly flashes open and his senses flares. "Someone's here." He said instantly, the drowsiness instantly washing away from him even thought he kept his head flat on the bed of straw.

Kai looked at the barn door, eyes wide and frightened. She couldn't move anymore. She was too stiff with fear. "Phillip," she whispered, her fear cracking her voice.

Before Phillip could say anything else, the screeching of metal broke the silence and the barn door was pushed open, the tongs of a metal utensil being revealed. Phillip pounced toward Kai and gulped - the second his hands connected with hers... they teleported.

Kai still couldn't move, even after they had teleported. About ten seconds after they had made it to their new destination, she could finally move out of her position. She wrapped her arms around Phillip, her tears soaking into his shirt. "Don't do that to me again. Please." Her voice was weak and quiet.

Phillip raised his head and opened his eyes, blinking twice so he could process his new surroundings. They were perched on the very top of a building which dominated the massive city before them. Phillip tried to reply to what Kai said but he only stuttered.

Kai cried for a little while but quickly settled. She let go of Phillip, her body still shaking. "Where are we?" she asked quietly.

"Looks like we're..." He gulped, inhaling and exhaling rapidly - his fear of hights was clawing at his conscience, urging him to scream, "at the very top of New York City."
