Kai nodded and set him down on the ground. She ran inside and do as he said, grabbing the medication and taking it to him. She gave him the medication and placed it in his hand. "You can take it yourself right?"

He nodded as he shoved one of the tablets in his mouth and washed it down with water. After a second, he blinked and inhaled. "That was a close one." He muttered before entering the house with the pack of tablets and drink, "Thanks for that, by the way."

Kai looked at him suspiciously. "What was that?"

"A side effect of teleporting." He said, taking a seat on the ground.

Kai sat beside him. "Is there anything I can do?"

"No..." He shrugged, 'Thanks anyways." Phillip gave a slight smile as he rested his chin on his shoulder and began sleeping.

Kai leaned back into a wall, a little way away from Phillip. She watched him until she fell asleep, clutching her bag to her chest.

Phillip woke after a few hours to the sound of something crackling... His eyes flickered and he pressed a hand against his head, "Kai...?" He stood, "Where are you?"

Kai coughed a bit in her sleep. She hadn't heard Phillip get up or the cracking sound so kept sleeping.

"Kai!" He yelled, moving from the corner he had shriveled up in as the crackling intensified.

Kai's eyes fluttered open. "Phillip?" she mumbled sleepily.

"We nee-" He began speaking, interrupted by a blast of flame which sent pieces of wood and splinters flying across the room. The impact sent Phillip to the ground as fire engulfed his surroundings.

Kai instinctively covered her head and curled up into a ball. The smell of smoke filled her nose and made her head spin. "Phillip, can we go now?" she said over the roar of the flames.

He stumbled, back, being thrown into a frail window which cracked from his weight and the speed he was thrown in to the wall. "Kai, come over to me." He said, reeling for breath as he began coughing wildly, the smoke coming in to his lungs and making him cough even more.

Kai unfurled her body and sat up, searching through the smoke for Phillip. She couldn't see very much at all. "Phillip, speak. I can't see you through the smoke?" It had become too thick to see past her arms length now. Anxiety had started to crawl its way into her. She had always feared being burnt alive.

He tried speaking, but all that came out was a string of coughs and gasping for breath. The wall behind him caught fire and the smoke intensified. Phillip shuffled away from the fire and in to the middle of the room where the smoke was worst.

Kai still couldn't see him but heard him coughing. She moved away from her little corner of the room to the centre of it, bumping into Phillip before she saw him. "Phillip," she wheezed.

He extended a hand and touched her shoulder, and stopped breathing as he began to muster all the power he had inside him. Stay calm... Stay calm... The words rushed through his head, but clearly they weren't working. He became dizzy so he closed his eyes and only concentrated on the only which would fuel his power - the anger within.

Phillip opened his eyes as his pupils were dilated red and the air around them shimmered before the teleported outside of the building and fell in to a haystack - head first.

Kai scrambled out of the haystack, landing on the hard ground on her bum. She lay back onto the haystack, coughing to get rid of the smoke in her lungs. She wheezed with every breath. Gasping, she shut her eyes and allowed the wind to cool her hot skin.

Phillip was too tired to move and the only time he did was to throw up. His reeled in pain before rolling from the prickling haystack, keeping his eyes closed.

Kai kept coughing. She exhausted herself quickly though. She shut her eyes and drifted into sleep, coughing every now and then.

Phillip's eyes opened after a few seconds and he extended a hand forward, noticing his veins were running an astonishing dark red color... not the usual green and light red.

Kai rolled over in her sleep and coughed, doubling over on the soft haystack. She woke from the pain it caused her. She managed to get on her hands and knees, and crawl away a by before she threw up. She panted, the coughing and vomiting exhausting her. "There goes yesterday's lunch," she muttered before vomiting again.

Phillip had to look away, tempted to vomit again as the smell reached him. He placed a hand over his mouth and stumbled out of the abandoned shed, reeling for fresh air.

Kai rolled away from her vomit and wiped her mouth, the foul taste lingered in her mouth, making her feel even more sick. She gasped for air, wanting something other than the wretched tasted in her mouth.
