"All alone, eh?" He continued, moving his hand toward her breast as he leaned forward, grinning. "Can I sit 'ere?"

Kai sat as far away from him as possible. "No I'm not alone." She gulped her fears away as much as possible. "And no you can't sit there. My friend is going to eat his lunch there."

He stood up and sat at the seat next to her, "What about this seat?" The man grinned, placing his hand back on hers, "Or is this taken also?"

Kai grabbed her laptop, closed it and hugged it to her chest; once again removing his hand from hers. "Please just stay away from me." Her voice was pleading. She didn't want to hurt anyone again. She didn't want that side of her to come out. She didn't want any of this. She just wanted it all to go away.

People began to turn as he men moved closer, his hot breath on her neck as he pressed a hand against her neck. "Your going to come outside with meh, lil' lady. Do you understand?"

Kai shut her eyes tightly and shuddered. She didn't like being touched like this; not by him. She shook her head a little. "Why should I?" She asked in a small voice.

"If you don't..." He began saying, before revealing a metal blade, concealed in his hands.

Kai should have known really. Anthony wasn't going to let her off on a free run. She looked into the man's eyes, half pleading him to let her go but she knew better than to hope her charms would work. She looked towards where Phillip had stumbled then back to the man. "Okay..."

Before the man couldn't do anything else he disappeared into thin air. "That guy was such a jerk." Phillip said from behind Kai, sipping at a milkshake.

Kai quickly stood and jogged around to Phillip, hugging him. "Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you."

He grinned, taking another sip of the drink before coming to his feet, "We should get back to house before I get extremely weak again."

Kai nodded and grabbed the rest of her sandwich, eating it on the way back to the house. She slumped her bag with her laptop over her shoulder and started confidently in the direction of the run down cottage.

"Sorry I wasn't there to deal with that jerk." He said as he flicked snow from his shoulders which had somehow got there, despite the hot weather which was above them.

Kai turned her head to him and smiled. "Well you're here now and that's all that matters." She kept walking.

"He's somewhere nice and cold." He added, grinning as he reminisced the previous moments in the cafe with the thug.

Kai laughed. "Yeah okay." She walked a little faster when they reached the field, eager to fall asleep.

"Why did that guy approach you anyway?" Phillip asked, looking over into her eyes which were fixed ahead.

Kai slowed a bit and turned her head to look at Phillip. "I don't know. He was kinda pedoish and had a knife though so..." She looked away, slightly uncomfortable with the way he was looking at her. "It could have been anything."

"Don't you know self defense?" He asked, turning a corner.

Kai stopped and turned to him. "Not really. I just retaliated before."

He nodded, entering the empty field as the building became visibly, slightly hidden by swaying chunks of grass.

Kai watched him for a bit and then followed, hanging her head.

As he reached the house, he grabbed his chest as pain began jolting through his body. "Kai...?" He said his words slurring.

Kai ran up to him and steadied him. "What is it? What's wrong?"

"Just go inside." Phillip said, gasping for air, "On a table you will see a box of medication. Grab it.. and some water."
