Somethiing flared in Kai that she had never felt before. Was it rage? She didn't know. She gripped the knife in her hand and ran, slipping the bag that must be hers over her shoulders. "Catch me if you can," she called over her shoulder. She ran out of their range within seconds.

The men in balaclavas split up instantly, all moving into differing directions as they hoped to make a tactic of sort which would help capture her. One of the men followed Kai directly from behind, madly firing shots whilst not caring to aim.

Kai's mother slipped into the black car, pulling her hair into a tight bundle before clasping it together with a metal clip. A smile flickered upon her face as she put the car into ignition - she knew the answer, she understood why Jack did it all... afterall, she used to work with Jack.

Kai knew that they would split up. She ran in and out of rooms that she didn’t know had back doors until she came to the entrance to the building. She burst through the door and ran into the surrounding structures. She hid behind a wall, huffing, trying to catch her breath. I’m safe for now, she thought.

The guards ran past Kai, not knowing she had concealed herself behind a wall. They exited the warehouse and began looking around the perimeter.

Kai let out a soft sigh as she heard the guards pass. She was safe for now. She later down on the floor and shut her eyes. Jacks bloody figure showed beneath her lids and she gasped quietly. She missed him already, even though he killed Gandal.

The guards finally went back to warehouse as Kai's mother left in the car, moving speedily down the street.

(New character emerges and helps Kai?)

"It's awfully cold, y'know?" A voice came, which was obviously male. "A jacket would make a nice addition to you, meh'lady."

Kai opened her eyes. She was curled into a ball around her bag shivering. "I don't have a jacket," she whispered.

A man revealed himself from the shadows, his face concealed by a hoodie. "Would you like one, then?" He sat beside her, beady eyes drilling into her skinny frame.

(He is how old?)

Kai nodded sharply. She was freezing and didn't have much fat to keep her warm. She stayed in the same position when the man came over.

He took off the jacket as long, uncut brown hair flowed from the hoodie which originally concealed his gaunt facial features. He shrugged as he passed the jacket over, inspecting the dirt which had formed on his shoes. "Why are you here?"

(Okay thanks)

Kai shook her head. "Why are you here?" She didn't like answering questions too much.

He sighed, looking away slightly as he cupped his cheeks in his dirty hands. "I was some cars coming here so I decided to follow only to find you here... running."

"So you just walk into buildings that have strange looking cars pulling into it? Strange." She sat up and leaned against the wall. "You know I'm running and for now, that is enough."

"Well, this is where I live." He gave off a small chuckle as his eyes returned to hers.

She shook her head again. "Why would anyone want to live here. It's full of people who find joy in killing people."

"They only arrived today." The chuckle was replaced with a sarcastic scowl, "I was out trying to get some food and I return... to see this."

Kai smiled. "Welcome to my world. These guys have been after me for like a year now."

"Sounds like fun..." He drifted off for a short while, "Why are these people after you - and are they still here?"

Kai nodded. "They aren't going to leave until they think I am gone. They want me dead too much to leave now."

The boy extended a hand, "I"m Phillip, you?"

Kai shook his hand. "Kai. Why do you live here. Don't you have a family or something?"

"My family... They abandoned me because of..." He looked away, walking away a few paces, unsure if he should tell a stranger he hardly knew.

"Because of what? Come on you can't leave it there." She didn't move from her position clutching the bag. It comforted her somewhat.
