Gandal could hear the faint whirr of a chopper in the distance; the sound increasing in noise rapidly.

Kai heard a chopping sound. Se didn't know what owned it, but she knew it couldn't be good. "Gandal, what is that?" she mumbled as she started to sit up.

He leant against her door, just hearing the girl mumbling, "Helicopter." He ran to his room, grabbing all his belongings and stuffing them into a backpack.

Kai did the same. She grabbed her pack and computer and walked to the kitchen.

"I presume they are here for us." Gandal yelled over the whirring of blades. Before he could pass the threshold of his door, gunshots rippled through the wall.

Kai screamed and ducked. She ran to Gandal's side. "Where do we go this time?" she yelled over the noise.

"I have no idea." He screamed, shots flying through the kitchen, exploding the furniture.

"Let's just get out of here first. We can worry about details later," she said as she ran out of the room, through the kitchen and out the door.

Gandal rolled into a nearby wall, taking cover behind the wood. The gunshots flew through the air, cracking nearby glass and furniture.

"Hurry it up Gandal!"

Gandal took out a gun he had concealed in his jacket, holding it low to his chest. He moved quickly to the door, kicking it open.

She ran down the corridor and to the emergency staircase. She opened the door with haste and ran down the steps, skiping a few as she went.

Gandal followed her; the whirring of the chopper following their every step.

"Why can't they leave us alone?"

"Because I won't leave them alone." He said

Kai burst out of the fire escape and onto the street. "Why can't you leave them alone?"

"They killed my family." He said, fresh air blasting at him.

"So? Let it go!"

Gandal's hand wavered; he took out his revolver; holding it to his head, "I may as well join my parents then."

Kai stopped and ran back to him, bashing the gun out of his hand. "Don't you dare," she scathed.

He scowled, moving away from her; sobs wracking through his body slowly as he moved.

Kai grabbed Gandal's arm. "Uh uh. You are not leaving me too." She dragged him after her. "Don't you dare cry Gandal. This isn't over. And it won't be until they're dead. Just survive for me. And tell me the truth more often."

Gandal's dropped his pistol as the whirring grew closer. The tears fell faster; drenching his black and white T-shirt. The wind blew at the two; moving their hair and clothes. The whirring now drowned out all other noises; closer; closer. Gandal dropped his head, "run." He muttered under his breath, "Run Kai! Run!' And with that; the chopper was in view, flying in mid air. The machine guns hissed; coming to a halt. Then; they fired; bullets piercing at Gandal. He put out his arms; his body shaking violently before he fell. He muttered his last words, "Run Kai."
