Kristina was having nightmares, dreaming about what happened with Mac's daughter only with her father.

Joseph gave a knock on the door once he had been led there, waiting until Mac had gone back down the staircase. "You awake, Alana?"

Kristina groaned softly as she slowly woke up. "Yeah...?" She asked, looking at the door.

Joseph proceeded into the room slowly, closing the door behind him as he did so. "Hey. How're you feeling?"

Kristina smiled at him softly. "Fine. How about you?" She asked.

"I'm feeling... alright." He looked toward the closed door, before lowering his voice even more, "Those guys... Mac and Heath, do they give off a bad vibe for you?"

Kristina looked at him confused. "Not at all. They seem really nice." She looked at him curiously. "Why do you ask?"

Joseph gave a shrug, "I dunno... the way they look at me and treat me. I don't like it, y'know?" He looked down, slightly blushing, "Sorry, you most probably think I'm insane."

Kristina shook her head and reached a hand out to him. "I don't think that... I know you're having a rough time..."

Joseph let her hand touch is, a feeling of awkwardness flowing through him as he clenched at her warm fingers, letting a smile flow across his face. "Yeah. I guess." His voice trailed off once again, "How're you legs feeling?"

Kristina smiled at him then shrugged. "Fine I guess... Still can't feel anything."

"That's a shame." He said as he rest his head against the window sill which was by her bed, giving a clear view of the cramped, damp city below. Within a few silent minutes, he finally came to his feet, walking over to the door, "Call out if you need anything, I'm going to see if there's anything to eat." He said with a smile, moving out of the room.

Kristina nodded sadly and watched him leave.

Returning down to the main hallway, Joseph moved into where Mac was sitting before, watching him stare at the front door, as if he had not much else to do with his time. "Uhhh... Hello?" He asked in a strained voice, raising his hand to the skin around his throat.

Mac looked over to him, his face currently void of emotion. "What do you need?" He asked glumly, running his hands over a cracked computer monitor which was behind the counter.

"Is there any food you could spare for Alana and I?" Joseph asked, leaning across the counter, "Please."

Kristina lay in bed, feeling bored.

Mac grumbled something he could hear as he head off to a room which was beyond the counter, returning with two bottles of juice and a pack of sandwiches which had been placed in a paper bag. Wordlessly, he passed the food over to Joseph and sat back down, staring at him until he went back up the stairs, approaching Alana's room.

Kristina sighed sadly and looked down at her legs, she really couldn't feel them. maybe if she tried to walk on them again something would happen. She swung her legs over the side of the bed using her hips then pushed herself onto them. She promptly collapsed to the floor.

Joseph eventually came to her door, opening her door and entering her room, "What happened?" He said as his eyes instantly fell upon her heap on the floor. He placed the food on a bedside table which was near the door and rushed over to her, lifting her up in an attempt to get her back onto the mattress.

Kristina clung onto him and sighed. "I tried to walk..." She looked up at him and gave a small forced smile. "It didn't work..."

Joseph shook his head, "You have to stay in bed." He said with a stern expression, placing her back on the bed. "I got some food from Mac if you want it." Once he had put the blankets around her and propped her head up with a pillow, he gave her one of the orange juices and sandwiches.

Kristina looked crest fallen and looked down, taking the food and drink. "Thanks..." She said, sipping the juice.

Joseph sat on the end of her bed, exhaling loudly as he opened the brown packet which he allocated for himself, pulling out the salad sandwich which looked somewhat stale. He gave a shrug, it would have to do.

Kristina ate slowly.

"What do we do after this?" Joseph said eventually, taking a rather large bite out of the white bread, bringing lettuce, tomato, chicken and mayonnaise into his mouth.

Kristina shrugged. "I still want to look for my dad, maybe we could go with Mac and his brother while they look for their dad..."
