Kristina was also panting and she dropped to the ground as soon as they were inside.

Joseph placed Heath on the floor, sitting by his side before laying down on the grimy carpet, looking up at the roof. Not knowing what to do, he turned his head slightly and looked toward Heath, and then toward Kristina and sighed.

Kristina dragged herself over to a corner and did her best to curl up silently.

"Keep quiet." He said in a hushed tone. "They should go... eventually." He said as he let his eyes close, in hope for some sleep to come to him to speeden up the process. However, he didn't think such would be possible with the death of Mac, injuring of Heath, the failure of their search and collection of supplies and the thought of yet another delay of them finding their parents.

Sleep would come, eventually, it always did.

Kristina nodded as silent tears slipped down her cheeks.

Sleep came, as he predicted, after over an hour of pondering, trying to hold back the tears. Joseph awoke wieth a startle, his eyes opening slowly and he looked around, first to Heath's dormant body, then to Kristina's body, facing away from here. Nothing had happened, that was positive, and the noise had subsided.

Kristina was asleep.

Joseph moaned and rubbed his eyes, before slowly coming to his feet and moving over to Kristina. "Still asleep." He muttered to no one in particular as he moved over to one of the windows, protected with heavy sheets of metal.

Kristina turned over and looked at him sadly, she'd been up for hours, just laying there thinking. "Morning..." She said quietly.

“Oh. Hey.” He turned around, slightly startled by her, expecting her to be still asleep. “Sorry if I woke you up.” Joseph said, elevating his voice slightly. He pried away on of the piece of wood which were nailed against the wall, looking through the foggy glass and into the streets below.

Kristina shook her head. "I was already awake..." She said quietly, watching him.

"Did you get any sleep?" He asked, noticing that the monsters had moved away and where no where to be seen, fortunately. Joseph turned away from the window and sat on the ground, looking over at where Kristina lay.

Kristina nodded. "A few hours."

Joseph glanced over to Heath, giving a slight chuckle, "He seems to be still sleeping. I guess that's a good thing. We're going to need to get out of here." He muttered as he drew his eyes away and looked back toward Kristina.

Kristina nodded and sat up.

A few minutes passed as he sat there, glumly staring at the wall parallel until Heath began to stir and his attention was directed toward him. He groaned, rolling over to see Joseph before yawning, and quickly stretching his arms.

"What happened?" He said, his eyes half closed, half open and his arms limply by his side, his face pale and his legs in a slumped position. Obviously he hadn't remembered much from shock and the damage he had dealt from the unorthodox creatures.

Kristina looked at him sadly.

Joseph inhaled softly, looking away, toward the door before closing his eyes. Unsure how to tell him, he quickly skimmed over it, leaving out the important details and only briefly mentioning what had happened to Mac. When he was finished explaining, he exhaled rather loudly before coming to a standing position. "I'm sorry..." His voice trailed off, unsure if he should add anything else, or how he could cheer Heath up.

He looked incredibly sad, his head drooping when it was revealed and tears silently rolling down his cheeks. It was still a surprise he hadn't remembered, he was the one to tell Kristina and Joseph, afterall. The only best explanation was that he must've taken a hit on the head or he had been in shock the whole time.

Kristina moved toward him and put a gentle hand on his shoulder silently.

Heath shrugged the hand off and stood up, walking over to the threshold of the door, before stopping, and turning around. "I'm going to go see how things are outside." He said in a solemn mutter, his mood clearly depicting his saddened mood, along with his slumped shoulders. With a limp, he moved down the stairs, using the rails for support as pain jolted through his left leg whenever it connected with the ground.

Kristina looked after him nervously.

"Should I got with him?" Joseph said, looking at him as he shuffled down the steps before moving out of view, turning a corner. "Just in case he's hurt, or he ends up falling down the stairs." He gave a shrug, taking a step back and leaning against the wall.

I nod. "Probably."

Joseph hesitated before moving down the stairs, somewhat quietly as he ghosted Heath’s steps from a suitable distance. “I don’t think he’s even noticed me.” He said to no one in particular as they finally reached the lobby, filled with dried, green blood and the imploded remains of the beasts. With a silent gasp, he watched Heath stand at the threshold of the exit, leaning against the doors which had been warped by the beasts as they had rampaged into the room.
Stepped into the large scorch mark which was in the centre of the room, Joseph finally approached Heath, standing next to him. “Hey.” He said softly, looking out as the streets, only faintly illuminated by the sun which protested to push through the masses of smoke and fog, which manifested through most of the city.
Heath gave a grunt of acknowledgement as he began to walk past the threshold, stepping over a small bundle of rubble and looking up at the darkened sky.

Kristina waited in the room nervously.
