Joseph took one of the donuts, noticing they were slightly damp. He brought it to his mouth and ate it without hesitation. He placed the tray on the ground, sliding behind the counter and sighing.

Kristina sat beside him and slowly ate.

Martin stared past the counter, and out the window, at the tornado destruction and wreckage - the water which coursed through the streets and the flames which curled from buildings relentlessly. He let a sigh fall from his lips as he rested his head on the bakery wall, letting his eyes close as he gave submission to sleep.

Kristina didn't sleep, just sat silently as he did.

Joseph slowly awoke, his eyes opening to reveal the bakery. "Ugh." He gave a moan as he looked over at Kristina whom was looked rather thirsty and sleep deprives. "You should really get some rest." He said as he rubbed his eyes, coming to his feet.

Kristina shook her head. "I'm fine..."

"Alrighty." Joseph muttered as he moved over to the entrance of the bakery and exhaled rather loudly. "Did you want to go for a walk? We're going to need some water." He said as he looked up at the darkened sky, clouds rumbling over the sun.

Kristina nodded. "Good idea..." She said as she followed him out.

Joseph moved onto the cracked asphalt as he looked up at the sky, "Can... Can you hear that?" He said, the sounds of stamping echoing down the street. He peered down the road and took a step forward as a swarm of birds flew past, hundreds moving over them - the beat of the wings deafening as dozens of animals strode past.

Kristina gasped and had to move out of the way before being trampled by a stampede of cows.

(Cows stepped on you? )

(lol, no, she had to get out of the way so she DIDN'T get stepped on by cows)

Joseph moved past her, jumping over a dog which ran past before being knocked on the ground by a bird which slammed into his head. He rolled over, dodging the hooves of cattle.

Kristina had to jump out of the way of horns and beaks.

Joseph rolled over once again, the ground shaking from the mass stampede as he came to the other side of the road and rolled into a shop, slamming through glass.

Kristina was still jumping back and forth, dodging giant and small creatures before she was knocked to the ground by the horns of a moose.

"No!" He rushed out and grabbed Kristina, dragging her from the horns of numerous animals and avoiding the massive feet the cattle possessed. She dragged her to the side of the road, before bringing her into the shop.

Kristina groaned in pain and was panting softly as there was a huge gash in her back.

He looked at her injury before looking out at the massive stampede and moving backward, pressing his back against the shop counter. "We need to to get somewhere safe."

Kristina nodded, breathing heavily and clenching her fists in pain.

Abruptly, a seemingly disorientated cow slammed through the wall next to Joseph, making rubble splutter around them. He instinctively ran forward and picked up Kristina, moving out the back door of the shop as more cows followed through the hole in the wall.

Kristina gasped and bit her lip hard to keep from screaming in pain.

The walls around them began to crumble from the holes which were created by the animals as they both burst through the back door of the shop.

Kristina gripped onto Josephs shirt tightly.

They entered a street which was filled with birds flying above, darkening out the and the sun. "Come on!" He said as the cows followed them through the door, following them down the street.
