Kristina clung to him as she stumbled along, blood flowing down her back.

The sounds of howling, pounding and smashing of buildings eachoed around them as they moved through the destroyed landscape.

Kristina panted and stumbled.

Numerous birds slammed into Joseph's back as he moved, the cows passing them and ramming into other buildings, eventually falling unconscious from doing so.

Kristina continued to run but tripped over a cat and fell to the ground, gasping in pain and she stayed there for a moment.

Joseph helped her up as more and more birds rammed their beaks into his back, forcing him to the ground. He groaned as he shooed the birds away, rolling away from a cat which moved past.

Kristina groaned and then screamed in pain as a hoof trampled her leg.

Joseph groped a nearby broken piece of wood from a gate, slamming the goat in the leg which had trampled on her. "Go!" He roared as he waved the piece of wood through the air, watching the birds keep a reasonable distance.

Kristina held her leg, crying in pain, it looked broken.

Joseph then threw the wood away as he gently picked Kristina up, running through the loud streets with her in his hands.

Kristina soon fell unconscious from blood loss.

Joseph finally reached a run down hospital which he burst through the doors of, walking down a trashed hallway with haste. "Is anyone there?" He screamed, his heart banging against his chest as he found a bed for her to lay on whilst he tried to find someone.

Kristina had sweat on her brow and her face was contorted in pain.

"Anyone...?" He screamed again, his voice echoing down the rather alongated hallway, which was starting to accumulate mould. "Is anyone there?" His voice grew to as low mutter as he dropped to his knees by Kristina's bed.

Kristina's breathing was soft and uneven as she continued to lose blood.

Joseph then gave up as he scrambled to his feet, rushing off to one of the hospital rooms, returning with a first aid kit which was in a red an blue bag. "Stay with me, please." He muttered as he pulled out a cloth, beginning to dab it aroud her wounds on her back.

Kristina flinched away in pain.

He moved her leg back into its original place as he gave it one last dab before taking out a large band-aid looking material. Joseph examined the wound, making sure it was fully cleaned out before placing it on her back, now examining her upturned leg.

Kristina was whimpering in pain as he did this and cried out as he moved her leg.

"This needs to be fixed." He said as he softly grabbed her leg with one hand, using the other to hold her down, "3... 2..." Before saying one, he cracked her leg into place, a popping sound emanating from the movement, making him jump.

Kristina screamed in pain and her eyes snapped open as she cried.

"I'm sorry..." He said as he stepped back, the first aid back dropping to the ground - scattering across the creamy white floor. Joseph went down to pick it up, placing it back in the bag before returning it to it's room.

Kristina held her leg in pain, crying softly.

Joseph returned to her, "I'm sorry." He muttered as he pulled her shirt down - over the wound which was now covered with a band-aid, "It was the only way."

Kristina nodded as she slowly calmed down, showing him that she understood.
