Victor gently put his hands around her and pushed her forward so she could catch some of the warmth whilst it would last. Chase moved his hands away and leant on one of the boxes, glancing at the bottle of beer which resided inside them.

Alana grit her teeth while she was moved and nodded in thanks.

“I wonder how old this beer is in here.” He said with an unmistakable smirk on his face, running his hands along one of the boxes until he came to the cap of one of the bottles, looking back toward Victor and Alana.

Victor gave him a glare, “Don’t even think about it. We have enough water as it is.” He said, slightly agitated. How could he be thinking of drinking beer, we thought to himself as he rest his hands over the curling flames which lessened as the seconds drew by.

Alana held her arm gently as she let the warmth of the flames drift towards her.

Chase glared at Victor before turning away, placing his hands by his side and sighing loudly. "How long do you think we'll be waiting he?" He said to no one in particular.

Alana sighed. "Until they move on to different destruction..."

Victor gave a nod of agreement, "They'll most probably be patrolling these streets for a while, until they come to the conclusion we've 'escaped." He muttered, moving away from the fire and leaning on one of the boxes, "Lucky they didn't find us here."

Alana nodded in agreement from where she lay, trying to ignore the pain in her arm.

"How's your arm feeling?" Victor asked, glancing at the open wound which was covered by a thick sheet of blood. At least the bleeding had stopped, and by this, he could assume the bullet didn't penetrate too far into her flesh and it'd be easy to extract.

Alana winced as she moved her hand and looked up at him, giving him a gritted teeth smile. "It hurts like hell."

(Is the wound bandaged up? I forgot. ->.<-)

"We could try bandaging it up with the..." Victor paused for a second, looking toward the supplies until his eyes fell onto the toilet paper. It wouldn't be the most practical of ideas, but it was clean and could apply pressure to the wound, helping it greatly. "We could try using the toilet paper."

Alana shook her head. "I'll be fine... I don't want to waste supplies..."

Victor gave a slight nod, "You sure?" He said, noticing the flames were just about extinguished, "We have nearly a dozen more rolls left of the stuff." Joseph looked to them both, slowly closing his eyes. He didn't know how long they'd be here or when they could leave, so he awaited patiently - until sleep would come.

Alana shook her head. "I'll be fine..."

"Okay." Victor said as he leant back, pulling his eyes away from the supplies and resting it on the dwindling fire. "Try and get some sleep." He said as only a few sparks of flame remained as he let his eyes close.

Alana sighed sadly and nodded, glancing at Chase before closing her eyes and falling asleep.

Victor was the first to awake, the sound of rain patting the floorboard above them sitting him back to the realm of conscious thoughts. He moaned once, before opening his eyes, concealed within the darkness. The air had become more damp, most probably from the rain, as it seemed some was seeping through, judging by the water which speckled his forehead. He spread out his arms and felt around, until he found the bundle of burnt toilet paper and swiped it aside before leaning back against the box of beer.

Alana was awake next, she opened her eyes and found that she was close enough to Chase to see him. She looked at him while he slept, remembering the almost kiss and feeling miserable, but she continued to gaze at him.

Chase stirred awake after a few minutes, exhaling loudly and flashing his eye open, slightly giving a jump to be greeted by Alana's wide eyes. "Uh... Hi." He said in a gruff voice, rubbing his eyes and looking around in the pitch black, the only thing visible being the outline of Alana's face and her eyes, "Everything okay?"

Alana's eyes widened and she quickly looked away. "Y-Yeah." She quickly tried to get up then gasped in pain, having forgotten her wound.

"How's that wound feeling?" He whispered, the darkness making him feel slightly insecure as the silhouette of her face disappeared amidst the darkness.

"It's fine..." She said between gritted teeth.

"Hopefully we can get it fixed once we get out of here." Victor muttered, his voice slightly surprising Joseph as he didn't know he was awake. "It may be a good idea for someone to go out and quickly scout the situation. It's the only way we're going to know if they're gone or not."
