Chase gave a slow nod, feeling sadness slightly over wash him from her words. "I'm sorry for your loss. I really am." He lowered his head a little, "I think Victor would talk about once or twice."

Alana didn't say anything, just kept her head turned away as she walked.

Victor, clearly hearing the words, turned around, looking at the two with squinted eyes, before his eyes settled on Alana's strudy frame. "You destroyed my house." He said in a glum expression, staring at the girl he had known for such a long time.

Alana could feel his gaze but still didn't turn to look at him. "I'm sorry. I couldn't contain the memories... When I saw the dead bodies..." She trailed off for a moment. "Something took over..."

Victor turned back, placing both hands behind his back. "How are you feeling, Chase?" He said, coughing twice.

Chase gave a half hearted shrug, "I'm fine. Just a bit... shocked." He looked at the back of the scientisit, "I guess."

Alana still didn't look at them but sped up her pace a little.

With another turn of the corner, they came to the end of the alleyway, entering the main streets which looked to be untouched by the army; yet. Victor gestured for them to move forward, overpassing him.

Alana nodded and walked out into the street looking around but still avoiding eye contact with the two.

Chase pointed to a house across the road, "A friend lives there, but his family are out for vacation, we should be able to spend the night there." He said, rushing toward the door of the small flat which had no kind of illumination.

Alana hurried over to the house and stood aside, thinking it would be best for Chase to go in since it was his friends house.

With Victor and Alana silently moving beside him, he entered the house, surprised that it hadn't been locked as of yet. "I'd suggest we sit on the couches or on the ground for the night, we don't want to make it obvious someone else was here for when the owners come back." He said, flicking on a switch which instantly turned on a numerous amount of lights across a room, revealing couches, tables and TV in the middle of the room.

Alana nodded and sat on a couch that faced the window.

Victor, hesitant with what he was doing, slowly sat on the edge of the couch where Alana was, seeming as thought Chase would take the shorter one parallel. "Hey." He muttered in a tired tone of voice, glancing at her quickly before resting his head into the comfortable space the elongated chair provided.

"Hey..." Alana said quietly.

Chase sat on the edge of the smaller couch looking at the two as he exhaled loudly, before moving into a laying position and shutting his eyes, Victor doing the same, until they both were asleep.

Alana continued to stare out the window, then slowly turned to watch their sleeping forms. As she looked at them she knew what she had to do. It would be fine. They would be fine without her. Better off even. She got up and walked out the door.

Chase awoke with a startle, clambering his forehead as memories of family began flooding back to him. It was a dream. Just a dream, he repeated to himself mentally as he hauled himself up from the lounge and stumbled through the darkness toward where the kitchen would be, noticing that it was pitch black outisde.

Alana walked through the streets, her eyes dead, not able to see where she was going very well, so she decided to just walk.

Chase retrieved a jug of water from the kitchen sink, taking a swig of it before returning to the entrance room, suddenly noticing something. "Alana!" He shouted out, rushing toward Victor, pressing a firm hand against his arm, "Alana. Where's Alana?"

Alana couldn't walk any further and decided to stay in an alley for the night.

Victor slowly awoke, placing a hand upon his head and looked around, What... do you..." He looked over at the other side of the couch, noticing that she wasn't there and scrambled to his feet. "I have no idea where she is." He muttered, his voice wracked with concern as he opened the front door, his eyes darting around the streets.

Alana laid down behind a trash bin and closed her eyes, ready for sleep.

Without any hesitation whatsoever, Victor ran forward, calling out Alana's name. Chase followed, not bothering to close the door as the cold wind whipped at them.

Alana was just closing her eyes in the alleyway.
