Alana looked at him surprised but nodded slowly and followed after him.

He smiled a little as he went to the ledge where the chopper had fallen out, smoke following them from where the missile had hit. Martin looks down and sighed, "How are we supposed to get out?"

Alana looked down and thought for a moment. "Maybe..." She looked at Martin and held his hand tightly. "Hold on." She jumped.

Martin grabbed her hand and closed his eyes before looking over at her, "What are you doing?" He yelled over the roaring of air which rushed between them.

Alana didn't answer, she instead focused on the ground and when they were just seconds from crashing to their death the slowed down and hovered inches away from the ground.

Martin eyes closed again as the air around them slowed as they slowed down before their feet touched a concrete path which was outside the entrance to the citadel, lined with rubble. Martin looked at the two doors which marked then entrance, then down the concrete road which was surrounded with massive, metal gates which ceased the entrance of any intruders. "We need to get somewhere safe - Mark and Arland will catch up with us. I promise." He muttered, repeating the words "I promise" in his head several times - worried the promise would be broken.

Alana nodded softly but she slumped to the ground, unable to hold anymore energy after a feet that big.

Martin looked down as he picked her up once again and began running, looking back once every minute to see choppers swerving from the top of the citadel, coming down toward them. Without Alana awake, and Arland and Mark out of sight - he had no idea what to do.

Alana groaned and gasped in pain as there was a spark on her head, followed by a chopper crashing.

Martin looked up as he saw one of the chopper's wings explode as it fell toward the ground, erupting with fire and throwing up rubble and dirt. Two other choppers zoomed down, but something moved them - was it Alana? He looked down at Alana and saw her dormant form - not flash on the head. He looked back once again to see another one of the choppers crashing, and Arland walking from the smoke.

Alana groaned in pain and gripped onto Martin's shirt in her sleep.

Arland was followed by Mark, who was gripping a black box in bloodied hands, his other hand gripping a revolver. Arland was holding his hands in there, clenching them periodically, each gesture followed by a helicopter exploding.

Alana was in pain.

Martin ran forward with Alana, "I thought... I thought you guys weren't going to make it." He roared over the explosions and fire which whipped and crackled around them.

Mark ignored him and walked past, but Arland smiled, "I can do what Alana can do." He said before walking off with Mark - no care in the world, as if he was invincible amidst this raging battle.

Alana whimpered in her sleep.

Martin poked Alana as he ran, "Wake up, Alana - please." He said as he stumbled, nearly dropping her as his eyes were set on Arland and Mark.

Alana's eyes slowly opened and she groaned in pain, clutching her head.

Martin looked down at her and sighed with relief as he ran faster, dodging a volley of bullets one of the chopper's sent down.

Alana's eyes widened and she stared at the chopper till it crashed to the ground.

"Are you alright to run?" Martin said as he dodged pieces of debris.

Alana nodded and stumbled to her feet, clutching her head.

He ran forward as he got out his gun and turned around, firing at two guards which were loading up a bulky turret.

Alana ran, no longer holding the gun she had dropped and tried to dodge bullets.

Arland turned around, sweat pouring from his brow as he moved his hands above his head, an invisible shield forming around them as the bullets harmlessly pinged off the surface. Arland then turned back around as he looked over at Mark, "You ready to detonate?" He yelled over the roaring and gunshots.

Without any answer, Mark opened the black box and revealed a flashing red button. He gave a subtle nod and pushed it in for five seconds, a loud beeping erupting from the citadel behind them.

Alana's eyes widened when she saw what Arland could do and she covered her ears against the beeping.
