Mark twirled around and kicked the woman in the head, whilst Arland seized the man with the knife and rammed him into a nearby wall. Martin just ran out and punched the woman before retreating to cover.

Alana stumbled back and stared in horror at the gun in her mother's hand. "M-Mom...?"

The woman slowly sat up from where she'd been knocked down and spat out blood. "You're a disgrace. To think my daughter is defective. Just die and stop bringing the label of freak to our family."

Mark then leaned over and kicked her arm, grabbing the gun and shoving it into her mouth. He didn't say anything, he just kept the hand on the trigger as Arland kept the man pinned to the wall.

Alana's eyes filled with tears as she watched this. "Please..." She whispered. "Don't... don't kill them..."

"They aren't your real parents." Mark said, not bothering to look back at Alana. "You have no parents."

Alana had tears in her eyes. "Please..."

"These aren't you parents." Mark roared as he fired the bullet and the woman was blasted back into a nearby wall, blood spluttering over the ground. He then pointed the gun toward the man and fired at him in the chest twice.

Alana's eyes widened and she screamed. "NOOOO!!!!!"

Mark then stood and threw the gun away, looking back at Alana, his eyes stern. "They're not your parents."

Alana didn't look at him, she turned away and dashed out the door, crying.

Arland went to chase after her, but placed a firm hand on his shoulder, "Leave her - she needs time." He then sat on the couch and placed his head in his hands.

Alana ran, just ran, not paying attention to anything around her. At one point she ran into a larger man and he looked at her concerned and asked if she was ok. She could barely hear him over the sound of the gunshots that killed them playing over in her ears and she just shook her head and ran passed them. Tears spilling down her cheeks as she ran into a park and tripped, collapsing onto the ground she just laid there and sobbed.

Martin then came up to Mark and sat next to him, "Have you told her the truth?" He asked, looking down at his hands which rest in his lap.

Mark didn't bother looking at the other human, he just closed his eyes, "No." He said, shaking his head, "But I think it's time she's told when she returns."

Alana was gone for the rest of the day, just sitting in the park, going through all her childhood memories, her parents or Felix were in every single one of them. Silent tears slipped down her cheeks. Everyone was leaving. As the sun slowly sunk behind the buildings Alana made her way back to the house.

Mark raised his head from the couch and looked at Alana, his eyes drooped, "Can you take a seat?" He asked, looking over at Arland who was eating canned food then to Martin who was sleeping on the parallel couch.

Alana nodded silently, her eyes were hard and cold as she looked at him and she sat down in the seat farthest from him.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, shuffling around on the seat until he found a comfortable position, sighing as he noticed how distant they had suddenly became.

Alana continued to watch him with cold, hard eyes and didn't answer.

He then placed his hands on his hand, "Alana, you don't have parents - those people, they came from machines. They're genetically created to pretend to foster you into their home."

Alana glared at him heatedly. "You think I don't know that? Every clone knows that. That doesn't change the fact that they were my parents."

He then pressed his fingers into his temples and sighed, "Your parent wanted you dead, Alana. They never loved you, they were simply made to express such feelings. They're fake."

Alana looked away from him, glaring at the ground but said nothing.

Mark shook his head, "When... When the police asked your parents to kill you on sight," He gulped, "They agreed."

"I KNOW!" Alana shouted. "I know..." She had tears in her eyes.

Mark stood, looking into her wet eyes, "I'm sorry..." He then walked away into the kitchen and grabbed a can from a shelf behind him.
