Karin smiled at him and looked around. Then her stomach growled loudly and she blushed.

"Heheh. Now you're the one who is blushing." He smiled and stood. "I'll go and get us some food."

Karin nodded in thanks.

Tarvo stopped at the door. "Ugh... Do you... want to come with me?" he asked uncomfortably.

Karin looked surprised but stood up. "If you don't think I'd be a burden." She said with a smile.

He smiled slightly. "No. You're just good company to keep." He opened the door and jumped down from the tree, landing in a roll.

Karin slowly climbed down.

Tarvo walked throught the woods stealthily, not bothering to wait for Karin. He strung his bow and waited in a nearby bush for an animal to run past. He waved his hand to Karin to squat beside him.

Karin was a lot less stealthy in the forest, she snapped twigs, rustled leaves, and pushed branches out of the way. When they got to the bush she sat beside him, looking around.

"Just... Try not to make too much noise," he whispered. He cocked his bow and waited. A couple of squirrels ran past. He shot them both with one arrow. Tarvo smiled. "Dinner."

Karin smiled at him. She didn't particularly LIKE killing animals but if it was for food she could live with it.

Tarvo quickly ill extend the squirrels and started I run back to the tree. He threw the animals over his shoulder and started to climb. He didn't have time to wait for Karin to follow.

"W-Whoa! Wait up!" She called as she stumbled after him.

"Hurry it up, would you?" he called. "We don't have much time before the scouts come past here!"

Karin finally scrambled up into the little room in the tree.

Tarvo quickly shut the door and covered the window. He peeked out of the vines and saw the scouts wonder past.

Karin sat and waited, knowing she needed to be quiet.

Tarvo moved away from the window quietly. "They should be gone soon," he whispered, sitting next to her.

Karin nodded, her eyes drooping a little in the darkness of the tree room, it was getting late and she was getting sleepy.

Tarvo looked over to her. He nodded a little and then stood to check the area was clear. "Alright they're gone. They'll be back in about an hour though for the double back trip. You should get some rest."

Karin looked up at him and smiled sleepily. "Alright..." She backed up to the wall and curled up on her side, quickly falling asleep.

Tarvo watched as she drifted to sleep, his lips curling into a smile. He grabbed a fur blanket and put it over Karin's sleeping body. At least she would be warm.

After he was sure she was asleep, he started to cook the squirrels.

Karin slept soundly for a while then her face began to twitch and she started mumbling in her sleep. "Daddy..." Her voice sounded like a childs. "No... Don't... Mommy... make him stop... No... No..."

Tarvo looked over to Karin, concerned. What was she talking about? He walked over to her, her face half shadowed from the flickering light of the fire. He crouched in front of her and shook her shoulder lightly. "Karin. Wake up. It's just a dream."

"N-No... Daddy stop..." She was crying softly.
