There is a society hidden from the world known as Argea. They have lived through centuries upon centuries and have never been discovered... YET! What will happen when a person from the modern world stumbles upon this unbelievable existence... and why is it they were able to find them?

Karin had finally escaped her overbearing parents and made her way across her backyard into the forest. She hated being in that house, her parents were always either bickering or yelling at her about her future, it was very frustrating to be there. She made it into the cool sanctuary of the shady forest and began walking, the incredible tension almost instantly leaving her body.

Tarvo walked the through his village quietly. He didn't like being left alone to look after his sisters while his father and the men of the tribe hunted. He was old enough to go hunting but his father had him stuck with his sisters. After his mother had died he had been doing nothing but babysitting. He stopped and breathed in the fresh air, his painted chest rising as he sucked in a lifetime of missed air.

Karin continued on for what felt like hours. She was perfectly content in the woods when she noticed movement nearby, suddenly she saw a man step out from behind a tree and say in an intimidating voice. "Who are you girl!?" Karin was immediately surrounded by men with spears.

"Whoa whoa whoa, what the hell are you doing!? I'm free to walk out here. And what's with the spears!? Shouldn't you threaten with a gun or something?"

The man stepped closer to her and examined her. "You are not of this tribe. No one but tribe members should be in here..." He turned to his men. "We must confer with Shakma. Bring her with us." The men grabbed Karin and began to drag her away. "H-Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing!? Let me go!" She struggled in vain.

Tarvo closed his eyes and thought of his mother. Her voice was gentle, her face fair. He used to admire how she saw the good in everyone. If he remembered well, her voice sounded like honey. But hy is he imaging her screaming?

Travis opens his eyes and looks out towards the woods. His father must be coming back from the hunting. Tarboosh scattered past the huts to his sisters. "Come you three. Father's coming." The three girls looked up at him and then stood. The twins grabbed either one of his hands and they ran to Shakma. Every kill was given to Shakma as a gift, a sign of our worthiness.

Karin found herself being dragged into a strange old village out in the middle of the woods. It looked like something out of her history books. The buildings were all made out of wood, there were a couple tepees scattered around. She was dragged to the center of the village. "Stop it! Put me down!" She screamed as she continued to thrash.

Tarvo hawed at the person his father's men dragged into the village. Who was that? Was that there kill? A thousand questions ran through his mind and it made him feel slightly dizzy. He stared at the girl but tried not to make eye contact. His sisters held his hands tighter. He didn't blame them. He was a little scared too.

The men dragged Karin to a large hut in the center of town where an elderly man stood waiting. The men threw Karin down on the ground in front of him. "Shakma, we found this strange girl wandering in our territory. What do you think of this?"

"Me!? Strange? You're the freakish ancient cosplay kidnappers!" The men looked confused by this term.

Shakma knelt down in front of Karin and took her face in his wrinkled hand, turning it this way and that. "She is of the outside world." He said and there was a collective gasp by the tribe.

Tarvo stuck his head inside the hut. He was intreged. A girl from the outside finding their way here? That was unheard of, yet somehow fascinating. He watched and listened intently, wondering what would become of her.

"What should we do with her Shakma?" Rakop (Tarvo's father) asked.

Shakma stood and looked down on Karin. "She cannot leave this place and spread word of our people. She could also harm our young if she stays. We will kill her."

Karin's eyes widened in shock. "WHAT!? IS THIS SOME KIND OF SICK JOKE!?"

Tarvo felt sick. He didn't even know this girl and he felt sick hearing that she was going to die. His grip tightened slightly on his sister's hands and then he let go. He had to leave the area so he could think. He couldn't publicly challenge Shakma's judgment because that would mean he would die with her. He paced around the edge of the village. "Think, think, think, you worthless pile of junk!" He had grown accustom to his father saying that to him so he said the same to himself on occasion.

An idea sprung to mind but he quickly discarded it. The next one however was one he clung on to. He moved in beside his sisters once again and hid his nervousness. He would never be allowed to come back after what he was about to do.

Karin was being dragged out of the hut, kicking and screaming. "LET ME GO YOU SICK PIECES OF SHIT!" She screamed as they brought her out to the death pit.

Tarvo kissed his sisters on the foreheads and told them he loved them before he left. He received questioning looks but ignored them. He walked along the edge of the crowd, not wanting to attract attention. It looked like it was going to have to be public. He grabbed a spear from the ground and stole a quiver of handmade arrows and a bow from the front if someone's hut. He walked as casually as he could, trying his best to stay calm. He nudged his way to the front of the crowd then and hit the blunt end of the spear into the front of the first man's face. He hit the other under the jaw. He grabbed the girl under the arm. "Quickly. This way, miss." He pulled her out of a dazed crowd and ran for the woods, dragging her behind him.

"W-What!?" Karin said as she was dragged, stumbling away from the death pit and into the forest. "Who are you!? What's going on!?" She could hear shouting and the sound of people chasing after them.

"Shut up and trust me," Tarvo said, a little harsher than what he meant to. He dragged her to a hollow tree and opened the bark. "Get in." He don't wait too long for her to get in. He got in the same tree, making the space a little too cramped for comfort, and shut the door on them. There was a hole in the bark which he put his eye to so he could see. People began to run past them. His body tensed as he saw his father.

Karin was uncomfortable being so close to this odd stranger but for some reason she felt that she was able to trust him though he certainly didn't act normal, she fell silent when he told her to shut up and sat still as the people ran passed.

Tarvo waited a couple of minutes after the last person ran past to make sure there were no more coming. When he was certain, he opened the tree and grabbed the girl's arm, running to the easy of his village. They ran until they reached a fig tree. "How well can you climb?"

"Decent I guess..." She said confused. "Ok, seriously, what's going on here? Who are you people?"

"I'll tell you up there. Just climb." Tarvo started to climb the tree and didnt wait for the girl. When he reached a high branch, he hauled himself onto it and moved some vines away from an old wooden door. He looked back down to the girl and opened the door, walking inside.

Karin let out a groan of frustration and climbed up after him, walking into the strange tree room as well.

Tarvo grabbed a fur blanket off a shelf and placed it on the hard wooden floor. He and his sisters were the only ones who knew about this tree house. They would be safe here. He sat on the floor and placed his bow next to him. "You can ask your hundred and one questions now," he sighed.

Karin looked around uncertainly at first but sat down and looked at him. "Ok, for starters, who are you people and why did those men kidnap me?"

Tarvo shook his head. "We are a tribe. Our ancestors were against technology so they left society behind and stuck with the stuff that we use. We are three tribes put into one village to minimise the chance of someone finding us. I am part of the Catro tribe. The others are the Masomba and Klating tribes. The men, aka the men of my tribe 'kidnapped' you because you crossed the barrier between our society and yours. They broke a vital rule though. Outsiders are kill on site." He looked at her with piercing eyes.

Karin swallowed, for the first time a little nervous. "Ok... how were you people able to hide for so long? When I found you in a few hours?"
