Jamie moved through a pile of rubble, peering at the couple walk through the lonely streets of California, both humming a song. Once they had passed, he moved out of the darkness and entered the broad day light, sighing. He couldn't trust anyone anymore - he'd been on the run for the past seven months and the chance of him being caught grew thicker as rumors of his whereabouts had been spread... Someone had been spying on him.

Jamie blinked as he heard someone moving toward him and he retreated to the pile of rubble which provided a shadow which discreeted his location.

"After 4 years you hide when you hear someone, what happened to the person who saved my life from the ring. " Victoria walked to Jamie and crossed her arms, smirking.

Jamie's eyes widened as he slowly came from the shadows, his words stuttering as they were formed, "Victoria?" He asked, his head cocked slightly, "Is that really you?"

She looked, well, different. Her hair was dyed at the ends to a blue, and she wore green contacts. "Hell yeah it's me, I would have killed you if it wasn't."

Jamie smiled, patting her on the back, she was the exact same person, "I never apologized for the fact that I nearly killed you." He said as he extended a hand - in a manner which beckoned a hand shake, "Sorry for practically winning that tournament."

She smiled and pushed his hand down, "you already did by not killing me. I'm planning a little something for the tournament anyways. "

"Hm?" He said as he shoved both hands in his trouser pockets before looking up at the blazing sun, smiling slightly, "I haven't returned to the tournaments since we met... It's been too dangerous."

"Good, cause I am. I'm getting back at the person who gave the fighters no mercy. The man I tried to kick through the cage. I'm getting him back." She sighed and she also stared at the sun.

"There's something better than the tournaments." He looked at her, grinning as he began walking down the streets, expecting her to follow.

"And what is that?" She followed, knowing the little about him she knew that he would want her to.

"Back when the nuclear bombs hit the northern part of America, strange creatures were formed from the radiation." He smirked, "There's a place where people are put into a massive coliseum and they are set to fight wave after wave of creatures."

"To me that seems worse." She scoffed, "Both seem like a death sentence."

"Yeah." He smiled, picking up a small piece of rubble and pegging it at the ground, letting it shatter into dozens of pieces, "That's what makes it so good - we get supplied with weapons, armor - everything."

"You see this a different way than i do, Jamie." She turned away, "I hope you know that."

He grabbed her shoulder, sighing, "Vic, we work well together." Jamie gulped, "Just come over and try it with me - if we get there and you don't want to do it, then I'm fine with that."

"What if i already don't want to do it." She looked back at him, "To me, this seems like people's sick game."

"Maybe so." Jamie said, "But you're the only one I can trust... and if I don't do this, I can't get money any where else."

She sighed, "If you or i get hurt, we're done. Besides, I steal the money." She walked.

He smiled, "You're the same as the last time we met." Jamie said as he picked up another piece of rubble and pegged it at the ground, "Thank you."

"I owe ya, remember? You save my like, i help save yours."

"Where have you been hiding out all this time?" Jamie said as they passed an intersection.

"Oh you know...around, stealing money from the rich, beating up the people who are mean to the poor, that kind of stuff." She sighed.

Jamie smiled, slightly laughing, "Finding anyone 'round these parts are near impossible, nearly everyone stays in the tournament." He pressed a hand against a crumbling, stone tower and sighed, the smile leaving his face, "We need a vehicle of sorts." He said, coming to a halt.

"I got 2 cycles (not bike, but like, they kinda look like the bikes from Tron) at my place, its like 10 minutes away from here."

Jamie gave a slight nod before gesturing ahead with a hand, "Lead the way."
