She began to walk back to the intersection and took a right, "So what about you, what have you been doing all this time?"

"Hiding, mainly." He said, giving a slight shrug as his hands returned to his pockets, "I come out at night and scavenge for food - been doing that for a couple months."

"Geez i should have found you sooner, while we're at my place i can give you some food." She looked at him, smiling, "at least so you dont have to do that for a while."

"Thank you." Jamie said, "It's much apprec-" Before he could finish his sentence, a large fist was driven in to his stomach, sending him in to a nearby wall. Jamie fell to the ground and groaned, placing a hand firmly over his wound as he attempted to come to his feet.

Two men came from the shadows, each brandishing machetes, "Stay down, kid." One of them said, kicking Jamie in the head as the other one pushed Victoria away. They both stood around Jamie and growled.

"We've been waiting for you." The second one said, pressing the machete against his neck.

"Get the hell away from him if you know what's good for you." She reached for a gun from her pocket and pointed it at the man with the machete.

The man stuttered for words and dropped the machete, "You don't know what you're dealing with little lady." He went to reach for a gun of his own as Jamie sprang to his feet and knocked him back with a round house kick.

From the rooftops above, three more of the thugs dropped down and snarled.

She shot one of them in the leg and grabbed Jamie's hand, "Lets go!!" She started running, dragging him along and shooting behind her, without hitting Jamie.

Jamie wriggled free from her grasp and sprinted ahead, looking behind occasionally to see the men progressing all snarling. "Pass me the gun." Jamie said as he extended his hand toward Victoria, his eyes locked on to something lodged above them.

She nodded and handed him her gun, "3 bullets left, make them count." She continued to run, looking back every second or so to see what he was doing.

He gave a slight nod as he pointed the gun at a crumbling building behind them and fire two bullets in to two of the central pillars. "You might want to speed up!" He said as the building crumbled and began falling, spilling massive bits of rubble which trapped the pursuers.

"Holy sh-" She was interrupted by a piece of the building falling right next to her, which encouraged her to run a bit faster.

Once the falling stopped, Jamie snuck in to a dark alleyway, pulling her arm so she knew where he was. "Sorry 'bout that." Jamie said, ducking from cover just to make sure they were gone before returning the gun.

She nodded, "My place is about 2 minutes away from here," she looked up, "oh wait, it's right here. Come on." She pulled down a ladder leading to a window and started climbing.

He gave a slight nod and followed, running his finger along the wall the ladder was connected to as he climbed.

She finished climbing and opened the window, then climbed in, "wait for about 5 seconds, then come in." Turned on the light, and unlocked the door, which was a series of locks, "kay come in."

He did as he was told and followed... (I have no idea what this room looks like, so I need a bit of description.)

As he climbed in the room was fairly lit, the walls painted blue and green. There was a couple of sofas and on the table was some guns and ammo. The kitchen was occupied with a pot that was starting to steam, "You hungry? There's some soup ready right now." She put on a black jacket and a purple scarf, "I'm going to be heading out soon."

"Yeah. Starving." He said, not remembering what is was like to relax. He sunk in to one of the sofas and sighed, extending his feet before closing his eyes, letting the darkness enclose his vision.

She smiled and then grabbed a rilfe, then locked the doors and climbed out the window, locking it in the process, she climbed down the ladder and escaped into the the "city".

Many hours later she returned, sighing as she walked though the door with a bloody lip and a bag full of things.

After a few seconds, Phillip opened his eyes and moved in to the space where the food was cooking and stuck his nose in to the pot which was bubbling and steaming. He took it from the stove and turned off the power before rummaging through cupboards for a plate.

She looked at him, "to your left."

Jamie turned around, not hearing her return, "Hey." He said as his attention returned to the glorious quest of finding the plate. He opened up the cupboard on the left and found a couple of plates - only retrieving one and placing it on the bench. "The spoons?" Jamie asked, turning around once again.

"Below you to your right." She sat on the couch, releasing a sigh and threw the bag to the ground.

He muttered a thanks, grabbing a spoon out before digging it into the pot of boiling stew and retrieving some of the mixture, plonking it noisily into the plate. Jamie picked up the plate with the spoon and sat on the couch parallel to Victoria, giving a slight smile as he waiting for his food to cool down.
