Jamie's eyes suddenly flickered open as the sound of gunshots hit his ears. He looked around as his eyes finally set on Victoria, who was standing near the window. "Did you hear that?" He asked, propping his body on one hand.

"that was me...no-one's dead though, im done killing people....for a while now." she stared at the gun and dropped it on the floor.

Jamie blinked, trying to comprehend what just happened and chuckled, "You've been here all along." He waved a hand through the air dismissively, smiling as he assumed he she was joking, "What are you talking about?"

She stayed silent, staring at jamie with an almost frightened look, "Jamie, listen to me..." With a shaky voice, she explained that the call, was a contract to kill jamie...and the person who wanted him dead?? who else, the head of the "to the death" battles.

"I'm not joking...."

Jamie stared at Victoria, shoving his head into the arm of the lounge as he miserable sighed. "I think I might just go back to sleep." He said, turning over so his back was on the lounge and he was staring directly at the roof.

"you do that...you'll still be here by the time the sun rises, hopefully, i will be too."

Jamie nodded as he closed his eyes and his let his conscience drift away to some place... safer... as he fell into a secure slumber.

I REVIVE THIS PLACE BECAUSE I MISS IT

Victoria opened her eyes, morning. When did she fall asleep?? It didn't matter, her and her comrade were safe.

Jamie's eyes flashed open. the darkness being replaced by the secure gloom which he'd been residing in over the past few days. "Hi." He said in a low mutter, his voice slightly broken. He looked toward Victoria, giving a grimace as he remembered their most recent conversation, the gun, the killing. Trying his best to distract himself from that, he looked toward an open window, filling his face with red sunlight.

"Come on, we have somewhere to go." She slowly stood up, holding our her hand to help him up.

Jamie to the hand greatfully and hauled himself up, yawning soflty before looking into her eyes, with slight concern and caution, instant memories of the gun coming back, clenched in her hand. "Where are we going?"

"I'm getting you out of here." She stood and put on gloves and a motorcycle helmet, then handing jamie one.

Jamie curiously stared at the motorcycle helmet, before gripping her arm, noticing the nervous aura she was emitting and the sweat which was generating on her forehead. "What's going on, Vic? Tell me what's going on."

"Look you're not safe here and I think it's best i get you out." She tried pulling back but his grip was stronger, she stared into his eyes with a serious but sorry look.

"What's going on, Victoria? Are you staying with me?" The questions fired both at once, his voice now tipped with defiance and his eyes drilling in to hers, demanding a straight and honest answer from her.

"You know what's going on. This place is armageddon and you know what I deal with. I don't want you to deal with it either. If you want me to stay is your choice, I just want you to be safer than here." She voice lowered as she was talking, as if admitting defeat.

"You've lived here for quite a while without needing to move, has something happened I don't know about?" His voice was harsh as he spoke to her, his eyes staring intently at her.

"No its just- I dont think its- ugh i dont know! Look do you want to go to that tournament/arena thing or not?" By then she gave up and looked away from the intense staring.

Jamie sighed, moving closer to her and watching her face turn away, "Okay. I'm coming." He said in a low mutter, before raising his voice slightly more, "I'm coming." He repeated.

She nodded and unlocked the door, "The bikes are 5 floors down...lets go.."

Jamie nodded as he began to move down the stairs, not needing to grab anything as he came empty handed. The spiralling staircase ended alas and he reached a door, slightly open ajar.

She slowly followed, not bringing anything with her, only the gloves and a helmet.

"I'm sorry."

"Where are we going?" He said as he looked through the crack in the door, seeing if there was any sign of life. "Clear." He muttered as he slipped through, opening it slightly for Victoria.

"Thank you," She passed through, "That tournament thing you were talking about with the monsters."

"No practice. Nothing?" He said as... (What kind of bikes are these we are being introduced to?)
