"I didn't. And I don't expect me to. When this is over we should get a blood test done. It might help us know who our parents were." A tear fell down her cheek before she even knew her eyes were welling.

"Hopefully the world is still intact." He murmured... breaking the hug and returning to the corner.

Kai flopped to the floor again and shut her eyes. She needed to sleep. It didn't take long before she was out.

Gandal sighed, things weren't going to be easy anymore, knowing that they were now related. He shut his eyes, trying to process what just happened, repeatedly sighing and scowling.

Kai stirred in her sleep and moved her head sideways. Her silky black hair fell over her face as she slept. She frowned and moved her head again to reveal part of a scar on her shoulder.

Gandal finally fell into another sleep, awaking to the sound of something smashing... His eyes flickered open to see a large, metal claw, digging into the wall.

Kai stirred again but did not wake. She had gone into a deep sleep which she was not going t come out of easily.

"You have got to be kidding." He hobbled over to where Kai slept, he was too tired for this. Gandal slapped her once, not hard, but enough to wake her up.

(Lol, you got slapped! BAM!)

(Ouches. You slapped me. *pouts*)

Kai woke and looked at Gandal sheepishly. "Five more minutes. I'm tired." She rolled over and shut her eyes again. She knew she wasn't going to get the sleep. She sat up and screamed. She stood as quickly as she could and pushed Gandal away from where he stood as the claw clomped at where he stood. It gripped her arm and she couldn't get out. She tried to pull away but was dragged away. "Gandal!" she screamed. She had never been as scared as she was right now.

Gandal scuttled to his feet, unsure of what to do. He rushed forward, trying to pry open the metal claw. It was too big. He groaned as he took out his gun, firing repeatedly. The only difference was a few dents. He ran back, scanning through the warehouse for some sort of weapon...

Nothing.

Kai tried again to pull herself free, but the claw was too tight. They had been watching her and she hadn't known. They'd been waiting for a moment like this one, and they found it. She struggled against the claw to no avail. She sent a worried glance back at Gandal before she was pulled through the door.

"NO!" He roared, dismissing the idea of a weapon as he ran forward, tripping over a piece of rubble, his face skidding along the ground. The pain didn't matter. It was about Kai. About his sister.

Kai could only watch as Gandal fell. "Brother please. You can't run. Your body won't take it." She struggled against the grip again. He looked up at the super soldier that had gripped her arm. It was that of her adopted brother. "Not again," she mumbled as she tried to pull away. "Let me go!" she roared as he started to drag her away.

Gandal began to sob, reaching his hand out as pain jolted through him, "No! Don't leave me again! Please!"

She looked back at Gandal. "I promise, I'll come back and find you. I promise you." She looked back to the supersoldier. "Let go of me Jason. It hurts." The supersoldier loosened their grip. There must have been enough if Jason left to know what was going on. She pulled away and ran as fast as she could from him. She wanted to go back to Gandal but that would only put him in more danger. She ran towards the pier. She would drop the key into the water and she will be left alone. Just like she remembered it.

Gandal tried to stand but he failed to do so. He fell to his feet again, crying as he clamped his hands over his face. She was gone again...

She reached the pier in a flushed state. She quickly grabbed the necklace and threw it into the water. Kai looked around and found no-one watching so she ran into a shipyard, choosing that as a way back to Gandal. She found herself walking faster than she meant to. Then she was running. She hadn't realised how much she wanted to go back to him. She began to sprint until she saw the warehouse. Please let him have stayed, she prayed as she approached it. She ran to the doorway and saw Gandal. "Brother!" She was filled with relief when she found him still here. She rushed over to him and helped him sit up. She hugged him tightly. "I don't think they will want me anymore."

"Wanna make a bet?" He said, moving his head up as the roof above them shattered suddenly, hundreds of robots dropping from a massive space craft.

Kai looked up. "Goddammit. Don't they quit? I don't even have the key with me anymore," she said frustratedly. She looked back to Gandal. "Can you walk?"

"I can try." He murmured as he turned back to the hole which had been created by the claw. He moved over it, running slowly with Kai by his side. Small alien-like choppers began to whiz past, orders being shouted through the air.
