Ali ran up and hugged her, "Where were you?" he said

Lexi jumped as he hugged her and she winced as he hurt a sore spot. "In town..."

"Why?" he asked.

Lexi looked down, worried he'd be upset. "I was trying to get information..."

"Don't you think that was a bit too risky?" Ali said worriedly.

Lexi sighed. "I know... but... I feel like I needed to..."

Ali hugged her tighter, "No you didn't" he said.

Lexi didn't hug him back, wincing a little.

"What happened ?" Ali said.

"I... may have gotten in a... small fight..."

"Are you alright" he said

Lexi nodded, hiding one of her hands behind her back. "Yeah..."

Ali noticed that she was hiding her hand, "What are you hiding?" he said concerned

"N-Nothing..."

Ali grabbed her arm, "What happened" he said.

Her arm came out, revealing her nearly crushed hand, her fingers bent and crooked and her hand crusted in blood.

Ali looked at it then back at her, "Wha- What happened?" he said slowly "You don't look alright, come and sit down"

Lexi sighed and winced as she walked over and sat down.

"Lexi, what really happened" he said.

Lexi sighed. "I hid my ears and tail with an old hoodie I found along the outskirts of town. Then I went around the market and tried to find out information on what the government has been up to with plans for us. Some big guys spotted my tail when it slipped out and tried to kill me."

"You shouldn't go out again," he said, "it's too dangerous"

Lexi sighed and winced again, holding her hand tenderly.

Robin came over, "Lexi, what happened?" she said as she saw her hand, "are you alright?"

Lexi sighed. "I'm fine..."
