Lexi sighed.

Ali looked at her and smiled, then looked at the clouds.

Lexi sighed. "Do you ever wonder what it would have been like if the plants hadn't evolved...?"

Ali thought about it for a moment, "I guess we would never have ended up like this, and we would have never found each other" he said.

Lexi nodded and paused a moment. "Then I would have preferred it this way."

"So would I" he said smiling at her

Lexi smiled and timidly kissed his cheek.

Ali smiled and kissed her.

Lexi blushed brightly and kissed him back.

Ali smiled and looked up at the sky.

Lexi curled into him.

Ali looked at her and smiled, he then put his arm around her.

Lexi blushed softly and purred a little.

Ali smiled then drifted off to sleep.

Lexi did as well.

In the middle of the night, Ali awoke to a rustling in the bushes, a fair distance away.

Lexi was still asleep, curled up next to him.

Ali got up and tried to not wake Lexi up, but he did on accident.

Lexi groaned and rolled over. "What is it...?" She asked, rubbing her eyes.

"I heard something" he said concerned, "I don't know what it was though"

Lexi quickly stood up and looked around. "Where?"

Ali pointed in front of them,"There somewhere" he said.

Lexi nodded. "Wait here." She jumped into the trees and headed in that direction.

Ali started to protest, then slumped down and sat on the ground.

Lexi ran along the trees and came upon an encampment, if you can call it that. It was entirely made of metal and was completely mobile but inside she could see... Humans! She gasped and turned to rush back to tell Ali.
