As rain fell, she used her good wing to cover her head, then looking at her wing, "thats gonna take a while to heal...."

After a while, the roof was fixed. Handsome Thunder was, for the first time in a while, left to his own devices. As he gazed upon his beautiful work of craftsmanship, he suddenly remembered that he had a castle to get back to. Deciding to return in case the CMC returned, he burned the magnetic location of the tree house in his mind and walked off in an arbitrary direction.

After pondering for a while she officially looked at the sky, "okay this is getting boring..." She left her wing over her head and fell asleep once more.

He walked back as the sun skimmed the horizon, finding nothing of interest in that direction. He returned to see the Cutie Mark Crusaders packing up for the night.
"Hello again!" Sweetie Belle waved.
"And here I was thinking I scared him off," Scootaloo sighed.
"Hey girls," Thunder began, "Do you know the way to Canterlot?"
The three ponies exchanged glances and whispers.
"Why do you need to get to Canterlot?" Apple Bloom asked.
"I'm a royal guard of Celestia's," said Thunder.

Lightning woke up later, the same dream happening. She then looked to the sun to see it was setting.

"...please....let someone find me or let me be safe for the night..." She sighed before lowering her head and pondering.

The three ponies looked at each other.
"Isn't the railway closed for a while?" Sweetie Belle asked.
Scootaloo nodded, "Won't be used for a couple of days,"
"It looks like you won't be going home any time soon," Apple Bloom said.
The three fillies looked to the ground.

Lightning Chaser heard a snap of a branch, it catching her attention. "T-thunder?" She looked to the direction of the sound and say 2 glowing eyes, her hoof slowly getting ready to get out her sword.

"I'm guessing if you're not in Canterlot you don't have a place to stay?" asked Apple Bloom.
"You could sleep in the tree house if you want to," Scootaloo offered.
And that was how Thunder got a place to stay for the night.

She stared back into the glowing eyes and they then disappeared. She then sighed and drifted into sleep.

Handsome Thunder drifted into a sleep.

Hours later she woke up, hearing more branches breaking. She looked around, startled.
The glowing eyes returned, more with them this time. She connected her sword to her hoof and pointed it towards the eyes, "S-Stay back!!"

Thunder started drooling.

The eyes growled and went into the moonlight and they revealed themselves, timber wolves.

"I said stay back!!" She slashed the sword, only scratching a wolf. The one she scratched began to growl louder and 2 other wolves jumped at her hoof, breaking the sword.

"No!!!" She looked at her broken blades, then at the wolves, ready to attack, "Thunder!!!" She nearly screamed, never had she been this afraid before.

Thunder unconciously scratched his bum.

She stood and looked at her wing stuck under the boulder, "this is gonna hurt..." She pulled her wing from below the boulder, screaming in pain. She then looked at the wolves and they jumped at her. She dodged some and got tackled down by others.

Some dust went up Thunder's nose and he sneezed, startling him and waking him up.

The pack of timber wolves howled loudly, jumping back from Lighting Chaser. She tried to stand but fell to her hooves once again. She then got the broken piece of her sword connected to her hoof and scratched it along the boulder, causing sparks to fly and and small patch of grass in front of her set on fire. The timber wolves were startled and ran off back into a forest.

Thunder looked outside and wondered how Lightning Chaser felt, safe behind the castle walls.

She tried to stay awake but she couldnt take the pain from her wing, she passed out from the pain not waking up until morning.

Thunder decided to stop worrying about her and head back to bed.

The fire burned for hours at her side, the warmth and brightness keeping her safe.

Thunder awoke to the feeling of three fillies jumping up and down on top of him.
"WAKE UP, WAKE UP!" the three chanted, and as Thunder rolled they hopped off. He stood up.
"C'mon, Mr. Royal Guard, we gotta go find Twilight," Apple Bloom said.

She woke up, finding out that she was safe for the rest of the night and saw the fire had gone out. She slowly stood and looked at the direction from which she flew, galloping in that direction towards the castle.

The fillies lead Thunder through the farm and into town. He received a few looks from the townspeople; probably due to not being a familiar face.

Lightning Chaser slowly went into the castle, two guards rushing towards her.

"What happened to you!?"

"None of your concern....just help me get to the infirmary." She stumbled and was helped to the room.
