Her flying sped up as she flew towards the vortex.

Thunder picked up some hoofcuffs.

"Wish me luck!" She flew faster into the vortex.

Thunder slung the hoofcuffs on his back and went to pick up the lipstick.

She flew into the vortex.

Thunder picked up the lipstick and put both it and the hoofcuffs in with the pile. He then went to grab everything else that escaped the pile's grasp.

Lightning looked around her, colours all around. The gravity was pulling her towards its center and she quickly flew out, crash landing into Thunder.

Thunder looked up to find the pegasus launch from the portal into his face. Ow.

"Ugh! My wing!" She jumped back and her wings closed, leaving the right one opened, "I think I broke a wing..." Dust was all around the air, causing her to sneeze.

"You want some help?" Thunder asked.

"Y-yea-" She was cut off by another sneeze, "lets just put all the trash in the vortex and go....."

"On it," Thunder started pushing everything into the vortex. As everything got sucked in, he accidentally fell in.

"BUGGER!" he yelled.

"This is gonna hurt..." She tied a rope to herself and then to a pillar, then jumped into the vortex, grabbing Thunder, "try to use your explody, magic thing to boost us up!"

"I can't reach the edge of the vortex from here!"

"You dont have to! Just do it!"

Thunder concentrated his magic and sent the vortex in the direction of the scream. But as it blasted Lightning out the vortex, it sent him much, much deeper...

"Thunder!!!" She attached the sword to her hoof and cut the rope that connected her to the pillar, diving into the vortex.

Suddenly, the vortex disappeared around Thunder and he plummeted into the darkness. He landed on a wood floor, and as he felt around, it appeared as if he was stuck inside a... closet?

The vortex shot her out as it disappeared, "Thunder?" She looked around, "Thunder!?"

Thunder pushed open the doors, and fell on his face. He looked up to find a room and saw a bed and a fireplace.
I wonder what happened to Lightning, he thought.

Lightning was running through the halls, yelling for his name. Guards were looking at her wondering why she was yelling when she past by. "Thunder!?!?"

Thunder took the time to make a detailed analysis of where he was.

The walls, the floor and the pointed roof up above were all made from the same variety of log, and the very atmosphere of the room gave away that this was a one-room wooden lodge. Looking through the window, he could see the lights of a small town quite a distance away, downhill and past the forest. It seemed that no-one was in the lodge at the moment, perhaps he could make a run for it and see if he could find a way back to Canterlot down by the town.

The sound of hoofsteps coming towards the door startled Thunder. Someone was approaching the only exit. He would need to find someplace to hide, and quickly!

She ran to the end of the hall and a guard caught her.

"What are you doing Lightning Chaser? You need to be in the infirmary for that broken wing!"

"Now's not the time! I will when I find my friend!" She pushed him aside and ran from the castle.

Thunder hid back inside the closet. He closed the door until he could see only a sliver of the room. The handle on the door started to open, and it was...

Lightning ran through the castle and busted into the throne room, "Princess Celestia!?"

"Yes?"

She stopped and started to catch her breath, "Handsome-Thunder-Basement-Door-Shiny-Portal-Went Through-Where-is-?"
