Jack thought of quite possibly the worst joke ever "Since it's a kitchen you might need a hair net" he said and then instantly regretted it

"haha sometimes I wish" she laughed

Jack laughed "So are we ready to put the pizza in the oven?" He asked

"yep!" she smiled

Jack smiled back and put the pizza in the oven. "Teamwork!" he said

Clary highfived him and chuckled "hell yeah" she said smiling

Jack started laughing and then smiled back "So what now?" He asked

"I guess we wait" Clary smiled and pulled herself up to sit on the kitchen table

Jack smiled back and took a seat next to Clary, being patient was one of the things Jack was alright at

"hmm..so what class is your favourite, in school?" Clary said

Jack answered almost instantly "English what about you?" he asked with a smile

"Art" she smiled "and music" she added nodding

"Art and music? What type of art do you like to do though? Do you prefer painting or drawing or some other kind?" Jack asked since he knew her favorite art types but people might have their own favorite type of personal art they like to do

"I like to draw" she smiled

Jack smiled back "Any drawings that you have here that I may see?" Jack asked with genuine curiosity

"yes" she nodded before running upstairs and coming back down with a big portrait of her sister

Jack looked at the drawing of Clary's sister "It looks... Just like your sister, I can see it. You're quite talented" Jack said with a smile

"Awh thankyou" she smiled "you'd be interesting to draw" she nodded looking at his face

Jack laughed a little, "Want to give it a go at some stage then?" He asked

"yeah! maybe one day after school" she smiled and hugged him

Jack hugged Clary back. "I look forward to it" he said

"me too!" Clary smiled at him

He smiled back "I think the pizza should be ready by now" Jack said

"oh yes!" Clary said before taking the pizza out of the oven "George! Alicia! Jace! dinner!" she called

Jack helped Clary plate up the pizza
