"he dropped out of school, ran away, then got put in the local prison for a few years, I haven't really talked to him properly since then" she shrugged

Jack glanced over at Jace "I feel kinda... Sorry for him" Jack said before looking at Clary

"yeah, I kinda do too....but I think im only really hard on him because it hurt when he left me..." she sighed

Jack also sighed. "That's reasonable though to be hard on someone for that." He said while squeezing her hand slightly

She squeezed his hand back and rested her head on his shoulder sighing

Jack smiled while Clary rested her head on his shoulder. He never really expected any of this to happen so quickly but he was glad it did

Clary looked at him "so..." she said smiling

He looked back at her smiling "So" He said, not really knowing what to say

She kissed him on the cheek and blushed smiling, "hmm I think we should go back to the house now, must be at least dinner time for Alicia and George" she said

Jack smiled as Clary kissed him on the cheek "Yeah I guess we should go back, it is getting late" he said while grabbing her hand

Clary held his hand while she called everyone telling them they had to go back, Jace trailed along behind

Jack happily walked back to Clary's house while holding her hand, he enjoyed the pace and the company. Normally he would just be at home either playing games or talking to friends, being outside was nice to him though

They got into the house and Clary looked at Jace "you better go have a shower" she dismissed him quickly, he nodded and walked off, while Alicia and George took their shoes off

Jack looked around again and asked Clary "Need any help with dinner?" He asked

Clary smiled "yeah, sure, that'd be great thanks!" she said

Jack smiled back. She must have to do this all by herself all the time. "No problem! So what is for dinner" he asked.

"hmmm, we have pizza in the freezer?" she smiled

Jack smiled back "Sure that's simple and easy" he said before asking "Err where is the freezer?"

"haha its in the kitchen, to the right of the door" she said

Jack laughed, he wasn't used to the layout of Clary's house, he wondered if he would come here often. He entered the kitchen and pulled the pizza out of the freezer

Clary washed her hands quickly and put the oven on ready

Jack also washed his hands, he looked at the oven and saw Clary had turned it on already. "Oh right I forgot that step" Jack said while laughing, not having cooked in a while

She laughed with him and grabbed some plates from the cupboard ready

Jack watched Clary do all the preparation work, they way she did it was set out in a very neat manner, he enjoyed watching her do this before realising he was just standing there

She chuckled at him watching her, she blew a bit of hair out of her eyes a couple of times but it kept getting in her eyes
