"Let's hope she survived, then." Heath said slowly as he moved out of the room, "We've searched the house, so either she's with the army or still in the street." He said as he looked out the nearest window, watching Joseph sob on one of the stairs leading to the house, his head pulled toward his knees.

Kristina looked at him sadly and said. "I'm gonna go talk to him..." She hobbled out of the house. "Joseph...?"

Joseph glanced back at her, his eyes puffy and his cheeks red. He stared into her eyes before looking away, placing his head between his legs once again.

Kristina looked at him sadly and hobbled over to sit down beside him.

"Hi." He said after a few minutes, straightening his shoulders a bit more and untensing himself. "What do you want?" Joseph asked after a few seconds of silence, trying his best to not sound rude.

Kristina looked at him sadly. "To make sure you're ok..."

"I'm fine." He snapped back quickly, before sighing, "I'm sorry... I just... knew something like this would happen. I just... wasn't prepared, y'know?" He sighed again, resting his chin on his knees and staring at the gravel on the ground.

Kristina nodded. "I understand..." She said softly and hesitated about putting her hand on his shoulder then decided against it.

Heath came out of the house cautiously, "There's nothing else in the house. We'll leave when you guys are ready." He glanced at Joseph, sighing silently before he began to silently pace back and forth, casually staring down the road and anywhere else a strange sound came from.

Kristina nodded and looked at Joseph gently. "Whenever you're ready. Ok?"

"I'm ready." He said after a few moments of hesitation before standing up, extending a hand toward Kristina to help her to her feet. "Let's go check out your house."

Kristina nodded softly, suddenly dreading what she might find as she took his hand and stumbled to her feet.

Heath nodded at both of them and moved next to Kristina, letting Joseph lead the group. "It seems he knows the way to your house." Heath commented under his breath.

Kristina nodded softly. "We've been friends for years..."

Heath gave a nod, not saying anything as they quickly reached the front of Kristina's house.

((I'll leave this post short as you might want to be the one to describe Kristina's house and the such.))

Kristina's house didn't seem as destroyed as Joseph's hand been. She took a deep breath as they approached the slightly tilted modest home.

Heath stepped onto the porch of the house, a few floorboards creaking uneasily beneath his feet. He quickly inhaled before opening the door, revealing a trashed room with a massive crevice in the room from the earthquakes. "You coming in?" He said to Kristina and Joseph who were both standing at the porch.

Joseph shook his head, "I'm going to stay out here." He muttered as his eyes skimmed the inside of her house (at least, what was visible from the slightly open door), before he turned away and sat on the ground.

Kristina looked at Joseph sadly then nodded to Heath, taking a deep breath before stepping inside.

(Did you say you only had a Mum?)

(only a dad)

(Okay, do you mind if he's alive, hiding in the house?)

(sure)

Heath followed after slowly, his first step into the house being replied with a loud squeak, which triggered a feminine yelp from a man's voice. Heath's eyes quickly darted to a door leading to a seemingly clean room, to reveal a grimy looking man who had his eyes fixated on Heath, before he looked at Alana, a slight smile coming out his face before he slumped to the ground and fell backwards - unconscious.

Kristina's eyes widened. "Dad!" She hobbled over to him as fast as she could, her crutches falling halfway so she had to drag herself the rest of the way.

Heath moved after her, quickly picking up her crutches as she looked at them both. "This is your father?" He said slowly as Joseph came rushing in, looking at the grimy man, a hint of jealousy being aroused on his face.
