He dismissed the scraps of food and paced them on a table next to him as he finally looked at the pictures. "What are these?"

Alana smiled and sang some more about dreams and memories.

"Alana?" He asked, looking back to her as he rested his back against the cave wall.

Alana fell quiet and looked up at him curiously, swaying softly.

"Alana... Hello?" He asked, staring back at her. Could she even hear him, even see him? Martin then looked down at her leg wound, "You might want that fixed up."

Alana looked at him then looked at the wound curiously and began examining it, pulling the skin apart, poking at it and looking inside, fascinated by it.

"Uh..." Martin looked away, feeling bile rise to the throat, "Maybe not..."

Alana giggled happily and poked at it and pulled at it until it squirted blood and she squealed in delight.

Martin finally puked on the ground, his dinner spilling over the cave floor. "Ugh." He tried to not look at Alana and the mess she was making as he held his chest, moaning.

Alana looked over at the sound and wrinkled her nose in disgust of the smell, she used her mind to move both Martin and the vomit out of the cave.

Martin stood outside the cave, raising an eyebrow, "Uh... Thanks?" He said, half sarcastically as he stared at the gloomy space and the vomit which surrounded him.

Alana hummed as she took the blood from her leg and began another painting.

Martin looked back at the destroyed city, slight anger fuelling through him. "Looks like you don't... want to know me anymore." He muttered to himself, turning and walking toward the city, gritting his teeth.

Alana finished the painting and smiled happily, running out to drag Martin back in but he wasn't there. She frowned sadly and looked down at the ground where she'd placed him.

Martin had returned to the city, keeping low to make sure none of the defective clones which scouted through here regularly spotted him.

Alana sighed sadly and sang a song about being alone as she walked back in the cave.

Arland moved from the shadows as he proceeded toward the cave, he had a feeling Martin had been here. He held a gun in one hand and a dagger in the other. "Alana!" He called, standing outside the rocky formation.

(Arland teleported to the cave)

Alana perked up a little and hurried out to see who was calling her.

Arland stood there, pointing the gun at her head. "One more movement and I shoot. Don't even try using your mind in this situation." He smiled grimly, pressing the gun further, the metal scraping her skin. He then moved the knife up and pressed it against her neck.

Alana didn't seem afraid, her eyes were wide and curious as she watched him.

Arland pushed her back against the cave wall, "You're going to end up killing Martin - you're unstable - just like the others." He said through gritted teeth, gulping hastily. "I'm sorry, if you're still in there Alana, I'm sorry." He said as he placed a hand over the trigger of the gun and prepared to pull it.

Alana watched his hand and something in her eyes changed, they became clearer, and incredibly sad, only long enough for her to say. "Arland..." Before they changed back and she blasted him away with her mind.

Arland stumbled to the floor and gasped, as he pointed the gun at her and shot twice before lunging forward with the knife.

Alana disappeared before the bullets reached her.

Arland's knife hit the cave wall, instead of her body. "Alana!" He screamed out as he dismissed the knife which was stuck in the wall and delved into the cave with his gun.
