Alana looked at him confused and slowly sat down. "Arland...? What's going on?"

Martin sat net to Alana hesitantly, keeping his eyes fixated on their new leader, extremely confused from what was going on. "I have... quite a bit to explain." Arland stated, seating himself on the shop counter. He smiled grimly before continue, "Back at the Citadel, when it was destroyed - quite a few things were released from it, such as those mutant canines that chased after us. I... I assume most of the defect clone prisoners escaped from the citadel when they found out their was a bomb inside." He placed a hand on his head and sighed, rubbing both his temples, "The next part - you might not want to hear..."

Alana looked at him nervously but said. "If it has to do with the defective clones, I need to know."

"Yes, yes. Enough secrets." Arland flailed his arms about dramatically before placing them on his knees, "They want us defective clones killed for a reason - not because we're not perfect, no. Because we turn crazy, corrupt and evil when we're defective for a long extent of time."

Alana's eyes widened and she looked down. "N-No... I won't... become like that... I won't..."

"We... We both will, Alana." He said, "We have one week left." Arland said, gulping afterward, before looking down, closing his eyes. Martin just stared, his eyes darting back and forth from Arland and Alana, unsure what to say nor do.

Alana shook her head frantically. "No, I can't become like that. I won't!" She shouted.

Arland stepped forward, placing both hands on her shoulders, "Then why are you being aggressive?" He said, raising one eyebrow before dismissing it, "Look, there's a... certain... way which can help us both and most other defective clones and bring peace back into this world, but it's going to involve quite a lot of work."

Alana looked at him nervously and nodded. "How...?"

"There's a man which can re-format our DNA, but we're going to have to get through the streets without these maddened clones seeing us." Arland said slowly, before glancing over at Martin, "To restructure our DNA we need 50% of the blood of a human."

Alana's eyes widened. "Each?"

Arland nodded, "Yes." He didn't want to look over at Martin, as guilt flushed through him, "We'll need fifty percent blood of a human each."

Alana shook her head firmly. "No. We're not doing that." She proclaimed.

"Then we need to kill ourselves before we go mad." He said firmly, not even giving Martin a chance to say anything. Martin looked away, out the shop window, staring the destruction, then looked down at his hands.

Martin nodded slowly, "I'll do it." He said, looking at Alana, "I'll give my blood."

Alana shook her head. "No, at least not for me. I think you can survive if you only give half of your blood. I'll... figure something out."

Martin shook his head, "Pretty sure I'm the last human remaining, let me help you and Arland. Please." He moved closer to Alana and took her hand, "If it's the only way - I will do it."

Alana yanked her hand out of his and shook her head. "No. I am not losing anyone else. I'll figure something out. Help Arland."

Arland shook his head, "There's no other way, Alana - we do this, Martin possibly dies or we both dies if you don't let Martin do this."

"I'M NOT DOING IT!" Alana shouted, the windows smashing themselves.

Martin covered his head scrambling away from the windows, standing next to Arland, one eyebrow raised. He then looked over at Arland and sighed, "Suit yourself." He said as he walked out of the shop, arms crossed.

Alana looked after him and stormed away.

Arland followed, gripping the gun as he moved, forcing the door open with his mind, crushing it when he exited. Before he could do anything else, something picked him up off the ground, no words able to come from his mouth. "Arland!" Martin turned around, seeing a group of teenagers dressed in rags, cowls covering their faces. They all raised their hands to the air as every piece of paper, debris, shattered piece of glass rose from the ground. One of the boys flicked his hand and threw Arland into the gate of a house and sniggered.

"Look! A human!" One of the defective clones said, jumping from the roof of the building, the asphalt beneath him crushing as he did so. The glass and rubble which floated in mid air was sent flying toward Martin suddenly, forced by the flick of a finger.

Alana heard the commotion and ran out, stopping the debris just in time. "Don't you touch him!"

Martin fell to the ground in horror as the other five thugs dropped to the ground, the debris and other things fell to the ground in synchronization with the action. Arland moaned as he came back to his feet, firing at one of the defective clones in the chest before he was thrown back again, this time preparing for the fall. Arland made the air shimmer, floating temporarily before dropping to the ground before dropping himself with a soft thump.

Alana stood defensively in front of Martin.
