Karin smiled a little and squeezed his hand back, she dropped his hand and began to climb the tree.

He followed after her. It was beginning to get dark. He covered the enterance with vines and did the same for the windows, then started the fire to keep them warm. He retreated to the corner of the room shortly afterwards.

Karin looked after him sadly but sat by the fire and stared into the flames.

A tear fell down Tarvo's cheek and he quickly wiped it away. It had been a little too emotional for him today.

As the sun fully set and the chill of the night set in Karin glanced over at Tarvo, huddled in the corner.

Tarvo began to shiver. The night air was cool and it seeped into his skin. He retreated further into the corner, hoping to save what little warmth there was left.

Karin watched as he shivered and she silently stood up, took the blanket, and quietly and gently draped it over his shoulders before moving back over to the fire without a word.

"Thank you," he muttered. He leaned his head back and shut his eyes.

A small smile appeared on Karin's face and she curled up next to the fire.

It was early morning when Tarvo woke up. The sun hadn't yet risen. He slipped out of the blanket and placed it around Karin's shivering body. The fire had long been out. He sat next to her and waited for the sun to rise.

Karin had been shivering in her sleep throughout the night and she sneezed softly as she woke up as the sun rose.

Tarvo turned to her and smiled softly. "Good morning," he said sweetly. He knew nothing would excuse yesterdays behaviour but he had to try.

Karin rolled onto her back to see him and she smiled happily at him. "Are you feeling better?" She asked, her eyes looking a little glazed.

He nodded. "Yeah. I just needed some rest. Sorry if I made you feel bad yesterday," he said. He looked away embarassed.

Karin smiled at him. "I'm just glad you're okay." She said with a smile before giving a small sneeze.

Tarvo stood and rested a hand on her forehead. It was hot. "I think you've gotten a cold," he said, kneeling in front of her.

Karin swore under her breath and moved to sit up. "I'll be fine. Is there something I should do? I could go collect some berries."

Tarvo shook his head and pushed her back down gently. "You need to rest. I'll get what is needed. You stay here." He grabbed a flask of water and gave it to her. "I'll be back." He left and went looking for medicinal herbs.

"Tarvo..." She protested weakly and sighed, she laid back down and curled up under the blanket, still shivering slightly in the cold morning air.

It wasn’t long after he had left that Tarvo returned. He saw Karin shivering and immediately sat beside her. “Can you sit up for me?” he asked, his voice soft and caring.

Karin nodded, coughing a little and she sat up slowly.

Tarvo helped her up and gave her a drink of water. “We need to keep your fluids up. It’s the best way to beat a cold.” He smiled at her reassuringly and wrapped an arm around her shivering shoulders in an attempt to warm her.

Karin nodded and blushed slightly as he wrapped his arm around her but you couldn't tell since her face was already red from the fever. She leaned into him shivering. "Thank you..." She said letting out a soft sneeze.

Tarvo smiled. "It's okay. I'll be here when you need me." He leaned his head on hers and shut his eyes. He was a little tired.

Karin smiled softly and closed her eyes as well. He was so warm, it felt good to be in his arms. She let out a soft breath as she drifted back to sleep.
