After saving the fire slave, we are allowed to go on a holiday...

But the teleportation goes terribly wrong.

Instead of going to a peaceful island, we get to the UnderWorld. We can not teleport back though.


"Well this is great... While we are here, we can slay the shadow demon!"

"That will be for me to do." Gandal muttered, letting a blade of shadow rupture from his palm. he examined the swirling shadow, unmoving, waiting for someone else to say something.

"Is everybody okay?"

"I'm fine," Vidal said as she looked over at Gandal. "Does anyone need healing?" She fell to her hands and knees and clutched her side. Her breathing became shallow. "It's too dark. My light can't shine. The death is too great. I can't live. Just make this quick," she croaked.

Gandal rushed over to Vidal... 'Are..? You alright?' His voice trailed off aimlessly.

"We must try. Just try to survive. Okay?"

She nodded, unable to speak. Just concentrate on breathing, she told herself. "I... won't be... able to go... very far. It... gets darker..." she gasped.

Hunter tried to calm Vidal, as he spoke to Gandal. "What can we do?"

"Well, I can only see two options," she gasped. "Leave me here, or help me walk and let me die in there." Her eyes fluttered as a surge of pain crawled it's way through her body.

Gandal slapped his hands together, a dark tendril exploding from his palms. The tentacle wriggled and wormed its way over to Vidal. "Sorry..." Gandal mumbled, concentrating on getting the tentacle into Vidal's heart. "This is the only way you can survive here." The tendril thrust into her chust with a loud crack. Abrubtly, it disspeared and the darkness spread through out Vidal, making her Shadow. "It will go away in an hour -- so we better hurry."

We walked along, as we heard unusual roars. We can to a gate, with two shadow guards in front of it.

"Thou shall not past!"

Vidal was barely walking from the pain. Everything was blurry when she had calmed enough to open her eyes. It took a while to adjust but she managed to catch up.

'Feeling better?' Gandal asked.

"Why wont you let us past, are you evil?"

Guard wrote:

Thou shall pay for thy obstruction.

Suddenly, one of the guards charged at Chill.

Gandal let shadows whip at the attacking guards,cutting at their black armour.

"A little bit," she said. She stood in front of chill as the guard rushed him and punched his shoulder than fell to the ground and swooped his feet from under him. She stood and steadied herself on Gandal's shoulder, feeling a little dizzy.

Merlin ran up to them. "Hey wait for me!" he cried, not wanting to be left behind. A bunch of fireballs were circling him, providing some light.

Gandal cut his hand at the guards leg, shadows exploding from his palm. The guard fell onto his need as he struck the final blow across his head. The guard slumped to the ground.

Vidal stood with shakey knees. She was not sure that the shadow surging through her was going to help. It felt like it was going to kill her.

'Let the shadows control you.' Gandal said, 'don't try to control it.'

"I have always been in control of my life. I'm not giving myself to something I don't trust."

Gandal nodded, strolling forward with long strides, a nonchalant esperession on his face.

Her chest felt tight, but she ignored it.Her head was pounding, but she ignored it. What could possibly be so dark? She didn't know. And honestly, she didn't want to.

Ahead, a low moaning sound mingled with the sounds of murmering darkness. The sounds echoed off the cave alls as they delved deeper into the heart of the Underworld.

"We're about to find out," Vidal murmered. She knew no-one knew what she was talking about but she didn't care. She just wanted to go back to normal again.
