Caitlen scowled and walked into her old bedroom and grabbed her things.

Gandal moved through the house, placing the platter of drinks on a nearby coffee table. He sighed; he shouldn't be taking his anger out on her. Well, after all, last night had been absolute hell for him... the new of... He dismissed the though, taking a small duster from a draw on the coffee table, sweeping away dust.

Caitlen turned to see her father in her doorway. "Get out of my way old man," she said angrily. "No," he replied. She walked up to him and punched him in the gut. "I told you to move cherry top." She pushed past him and walked into the lounge. "I'll meet you at Baker Street Gandal. Apartment five. When you're ready." Then she left.

Gandal sighed at the sudden outburst, he put the duster away, picking the platter up again, bringing it into another room.

Caitlin got into a cab and went back to 221 Baker Street to her apartment. She was in a foul mood. Why did her father have to be so stubborn?

Gandal finished his shift at 4:00 in the afternoon. He hired a taxi and went down to the address Caitlen had ordered.

Caitlin had been rearranging the apartment from ten that morning. She had a real skull on the mantle piece, her chemistry gear on the breakfast bar in the kitchen and numerous other thongs floating around. She sat on the arm of the lounge chair and waited for Gandal to arrive.

Gandal glided up the driveway, knocking on the door quickly.

Caitlin went to the door and opened it. She stepped aside so he could get into the flat. "Mind the mess. It will be like this 99.99% of the time."

Gandal nodded, "Sorry about earlier this morning.... I had a real bad night." He sighed as he stepped past the threshold.

"I could tell. You didn't sleep at all did you?" She shut the door behind him and walked into the kitchen to check on her project.

"It was something else... My..." He stopped speaking.

"What? What is it?" she asked concerned.

"My Grandma passed away." He swivelled his head away; looking out the window into the burning horizon.

"Oh. I'm sorry for your loss," she said. She added a substance to her project and stood back to watch.

Gandal nodded, cutting his hand through the air, regaining his thoughts; he turned back to her, "It's alright."

Caitlin's project began to bubble, ten it boiled and evaporated, leaving a powder in place of the liquid.

Gandal dropped the suitcase he had brought in softly on the ground in front of him, yawning drearily. He stretched his arms and flopped in a nearby lounge chair.

"Please. Make yourself at home," she said sarcastically. She laughed quietly and sighed afterwards. "You need the sleep. I won't disturb you."

"Thank you." He said, in-between another long yawn. He put his head back and shut his eyes.

Caitlin grabbed her beaker and put the powder in a plastic sealed bag. She opened the door ad glanced back a the sleeping Gandal. Se smiled and shook her head before she went downstairs to her Uncle's flat. "I made that substance you wanted," she said placing it on his table.
