Kai tried to get up but her body ached so much. He would have to find her if he could. "Gandal," she said louder. 'I hope he finds me,' she thought.

'Kai...? Is that... You?' He screamed, his voice cleaning with despair,.

"Gandal! I don't know about you but I am mighty glad to hear your voice."

Gandal stood, hoping Kai could see him. 'What happened exactly?'

Kai saw Gandal and raised one arm out of the rubble. "Over here," she called. "Help me up."

Out of the darkness came Aragon, who had broken his mind control, but was still in the suit. "Gandal, Kai, are you alright" he asked.

"What are you doing here? I thought you had SSed."

Gandal ran over to the group, 'Aragon, Kai!' He shouted, saluting at his comrads. In the distance, there were dots.. Red dots... More and more. They were then followed by metal, metal... Shining, reflecting the blood of fallen soldiers. The pumping of pistons, the whirring of electricity. The flames showed metal legs, large, dinted metal. Some with cords dangling. The figure moved closer and closer. Gandal knew what they were, they all did. This was the last stand of the three soldiers, the soldiers that had went to hell and had returned with scars, mentally and physically. They looked at each other - Kai, the young soldier - Gandal, the team commander and Aragon, the cyborg.

The three turned, all back to back, each holding a gun.

Gandal loaded his rifle, 'let's do this.'

Kai held her pistol level. "Shoot anything that moves. May tomorrow's light be followed by the light of heaven. Good luck guys. Honor to have met you both."

Gandal smiled, raising his gun, 'for humanity!' And with that... The robots... They came charging...

No one knew what happened next, maybe they were lasered... Killed... Destroyed... The mystery stayed a secret for a long time. The three warriors, they figured, except their bodies were never found, only the scrap metal of robots.

Except, there was one person, he knew what happened...
