"That I hope so..." she lowered her head and sighed, "I don't know what I would do if I couldn't fly anymore..."

Thunder hugs Lightning Chaser tight, "I don't know either."

"Don't ever scare me like this again okay??" She looked at him with a worried yet relieved look.

"I promise."

She smiled and a crimson red Pegasus walked into the room , "Am I interrupting anything Lightning Chaser?"

She looked up and saw the pony, "Nothing really...I want to know if you can make me a fake wing."

"Lets see the damage and ill see what I can do."

the bandages unwrapped to show little to none of the wing left.

"....Thatll take some time...but I can make it."

Thunder stood back.

As flame twister left the infirmary Lightning looked back at Thunder. " Well I'm glad to know you're safe and sound."

Time passes.

A week later Lighting walked out of the infirmary, heading to the guards' quarters.

Thunder slept in the guard's lounge.

Lighting softly pressed her hoof against Thunder's face " Thunder? Wake up please."

Thunder rolls off the couch and falls on the floor.

"Thunder I'm flying today"

Thunder woke up with a startle, lifted his head up and hit it on the underside of the coffee table. "Yer wha-?"

"I'm flying, sweetie. Flame Twister finished the wing and I'm testing it out today.."

Thunder gasped in amazement.

"Come on, I want you to be there" She helped Thunder to his feet and started walking outside to the fitting course.

"Okay, I'm coming, I'm coming," Thunder murmured under his breath as he followed Lightning Chaser to the flying course.

Lightning Chaser met up with Flame Twister, him holding a wing that looked real, but was made of a strong material.

"Oh thank you FT!" She attached the wing to her back.

"Are you ready to fly?"

"I-I don't know"

It almost looks exactly the same as her old one, Thunder thought.

"What if something bad happens?"

Thunder hands Lightning Chaser a helmet, knee pads, and pillows.

"I'll take the helmet and kneepads." She put on the helmet and kneepads and climbed up a platform.

Thunder kept the pillows and watched in amazement.

She hesitated before jumping off the platform and started plummeting to the earth.

"Use your wings!!"
