Jack laughed after he helped his teacher and entered his official free period for the day, he was the only one of his friends who had one at this time so he decided just to go to the library and read for a while

Finally the bell rang for lunch and Clary stood, shoving her books in her bag and walking down to meet Jack again.

As the bells rang for lunch Jack jumped up feel excitement to meet Clary again, he carefully marked the page in his book before storing it in his bag. He began to walk to the spot he and Clary agreed to rendezvous at.

Clary met Jack there and smiled "hey, how was your lessons?" she asked kindly

"Alright" he said "Didn't really learn much, and I spent most of one period helping out my photography teacher so that was pretty good, how were yours?" He asked with a curious tone.

"that's cool, and my lessons sucked" she laughed adjusting her bag on her shoulder

Pero stood as the bell rang and went to the cafeteria. She sat down at a table in the corner and no one bothered to sit with her.

Jack laughed with Clary "Want to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat?" He asked with a smile.

"haha sure" she said smiling, following behind him

Pero ate her lunch quietly.

As Jack entered the cafeteria with Clary he noticed a girl sitting down alone at a table he turned to Clary and asked "Do you know who she is?" Jack wasn't used to seeing this many people alone, nor was he used to being inside at lunch since he was usually outside with his friends.

"yeah, I accidently bumped into her earlier, I think maybe I should go apologise again...she looks a bit lonely" she said to Jack "hey are you usually with those guys?" Clary pointed to the group of people she passed in the morning.

Jack agreed she did look lonely "sure lets see if she wants some company" he looked over where Clary pointed "Yeah usually, although they aren't inside here to often, why do you ask?"

"um..no reason..." she said and then made her way over to the girl Pero "hey..sorry about earlier" she said to her

Jack stayed sort of close to Clary when she approached the girl, he didn't get too close in case anything bad happened, he just watched Clary begin to talk to her.

Pero looked up from her small salad and saw the girl from earlier. She shrugged and looked back down at her food. "I already told you it's fine, no harm done." She took another small bite of salad.

"um..would you like company..or we could go if you'd like..?" Clary said quietly moving backwards to give her a little space and nearly walking into Jack "oh sorry" she said "clumsy me"

Pero glanced up at them, her eyes never seemed to change, always guardedly emotionless. She shrugged again. "Do what you want." She continued taking small bites.

Jack notices Clary stumble back a bit and almost bump in to him he hears her say "clumsy me" and laughs a little bit to himself "It's fine" he said

"I guess we could leave you too it...i'll see you inbetween classes, we can talk hopefully" she said friendly and turned around, she thought once shed talked to Pero a bit more she would find it more comfortable to sit with her

Pero just went back to eating, she only ate about half of her very small salad and threw the rest away.

Jack saw Clary turn around and he asked Clary "Do you have any food or do you want buy something?" "I already have my lunch for the day" He said

"I have my own stuff but thanks" she smiled at Jack and sat down on a table she looked down when the one of Jacks friends approached them that had tripped her up this morning but she didn't say a word

Jack sat down at the table with Clary when he saw one of his friends approach, he used the term friend ironically for this guy "Hey Jackyboy, so this is the girl more important than us". Jack stood up "Back off Greg" he said with a semi-forceful tone.

Clary flinched slightly and looked up "if you want to go im fine here.." she said to him forcing a smile
