Ann was confused until he jumped. She watched and let out a little breath of disappointment making her way down at her pace. Yet above she could hear strange noises of a melody. It made her pause to look at the direction it was coming from. Soon it made her walk towards the direction up the stairs and through the door they came in .

"Ann?" He called, keeping his voice down as he looked up, beginning to move back up the stairs slowly, raising an eyebrow. "Ann, what are you doing?" He repeated, urgency rushing into his voice.

She didn't look back at Blaze. Ann kept on walking as if she where hypnotized by the tune playing over and over to her. "I know that song..My mother use to sing it to me before.." turning the door knob she exited the staircase and walked through.

Blaze halted, hearing footsteps from a different, room - the pace gradually growing. "Ann." He asked, "We need to go!"

Ann still didn't hear him and continued in search of the song. It led her up to a dark wood door. Her eyes laid on it yearningly and she placed her hand on the knob about to turn it. But as soon as she touched it, it glowed red giving Ann a zap to her hand that flew her back against a wall on the opposite side of the room. She landed on the ground and grunted in pain. "wha..what happened..? how did i get here?" she said quietly. Ann tried to stand back up using her hands but shrieked seeing a hole in her hand where the doorknob had zapped her. slowly blood ran down her palm and she bit down her lip tightly.

Blaze's eyes widened as she continued up the stair case. His eyes darted back toward the door as the knob began to turn slowly. He sighed, running back up the stairs, trying not to make too much noise.

She ripped a part of her clothes and wrapped it around her hand to stop the bleeding. The pain was stinging but Ann found a way to get back on her feet. The sound stopped and she sighed.

He opened the door sharply, storming towards her, gasping as he saw blotches of blood all over the ground. "What the hell, Ann?" Blaze asked, taking her hand softly, restraining the anger which bubbled in his chest. "Someone's coming. We need to go!"

"Someone.." She said quietly with her eyes widening. "o-oh okay.." She answered him "but where could the exit really be?" Ann flinched at the pain while her blood seeped through the material.

Blaze looked back at a small window, an eyebrow raising. "The window." He shrugged, "It's the only way. And that wound will need to be tended to."

Ann nodded looking down ashamed at herself feeling like a burden. "Alright..i guess the window is our only chance" She walked up to it and attempted to open it with one hand.

Blaze could hear the fast pace of footsteps, rushing up the staircase. His hand started to glow a crimson color as he pressed it against the window. Abruptly, the window shattered into dozens of pieces, crashing on the ground. "Ann, you go first." He said with urgency, regularly looking back.

She nodded sharply and leaped out the window onto the roof and made her way down jumping onto the lower levels until she made it to the ground. Ann looked up and waited for Blaze. She held her injured hand and grunted seeing more blood drip onto the ground. "This isnt good..."

Before Blaze could jump from the window, he heard the loading of a gun as the door was kicked open. A large man stood in the doorway, a shower of splinters raining through the air. "Get away from there. Now." The man said, slightly growling as he stepped forward, slamming the gun into Blaze's arm. "You must be that freak everyone's talking 'bout."

The sound from the house made Ann jump back a little and gasp. "Oh no.." she thought "I gotta help him" Ann looked frantically looked around for something to climb up with and did so carefully yet quickly up.

The man rammed the gun into Blaze's chest, smirking, "Do you know the reward people get for capturing scum like you?"

Ann whimpered using her injured hand to help her climb until she came up to the shattered window. She caught her eyes onto the man. Her eyes narrowed, hands turned into fists. "Its you..." Ann growled "I remember you..do you remember me? do i look familiar?" Ann jumped into the room "what youre doing isnt something wise..you should leave him alone."

(well he could be one of the men that killed some of her relatives XD just thought I'd add some twist. hope that isn't a bad thing ._.)

The man looked up at her, grunting as he pointed the gun at her head, "The freak brought you!" He spat at the words just as Blaze fired a ball of flame at the man's leg. He was sent across the room, smashing through a cupboard.

Watching the man fly back made a little grin on her face but she suddenly ran up to the man and began to rage. Her eyes turned red and she slammed her fists into him repeatedly grunting and screaming at him. "You horrible man!!! you had no mercy did you?!! killing my mother infront of me..you gripped her into your hands and broke every bone!! i should do the same to you!! but slowly for you to suffer until you can no longer scream or cry!!!" Her fingernails sharpened and she scratched him leaving deep cuts on the man's arms and face.

Blaze's eyes widened as his fingers flexed, the crimson glow fading. He ran up to Ann, placing his hands on her shoulder. "We need to go. Leave him be." He whispered, turning toward the window, "Leave him be."

Ann noticed the man passed out and she panted calming down. Her eyes back to its original dark shade. Jerking back from the man she stood up and made her way passing Blaze by out the window without a word leaving a blood trail behind.

Blaze jumped from the smashed window, propelling himself before he hit the ground with a light gush of heat which he extinguished a few seconds later. He landed on the ground with a soft thud, surveying the new surrounding which was splayed before himself.

Ann leaned against the houses wall outside and waited for Blaze take in the surrounding. She breathed heavily looking at her hand and fingernails slowly returning to normal.
