Kai sighed in relief as Kara fell asleep. He allowed himself to fall into short stints of sleep. He didn't fully trust Hayden and didn't want to be surprised by anything through the night. The sun finally made its appearance and Kai sat up, happy for there to be a new day.

Kara moaned lightly as she woke up to the suns light through the tent. She slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes, holding her doll to her chest. "Kai...?" She said sleepily looking around.

Kai turned toward Kara, wondering why she said his name. "Yes?" Her sleepy voice making him chuckle.

She crawled over to him and hugged him around the waist.

He looked down at her, surprised, but let his arms settle into a hug. "What is it?"

She looked up at him with sad eyes. "I had a dream... I was hurt and you left me alone, saying that I was too much of a burden..."

Kai shook his head. "I would never do that, especially if you were hurt. I'm too far in to turn back now." He said with a double meaning behind it.

Kara buried her face into his chest. "I'm sorry..."

"It's fine. Just remember that I'll never leave you." He smiled down at the top of her head.

She looked up at him and smiled. "Thank you." She kissed his cheek and grabbed her stuff, heading out of the tent.

Kai paused and touched his cheek. Maybe he shouldn't read too far into that. He got up and hoped Hayden was gone when he opened the tent, but no dice. He was out there.

Hayden was up and had made a fire for Kara since the morning was a little chilly. "Thanks Hayden." Kara said with a smile and sat down by the fire with her blanket wrapped around her holding her doll.
"Anything for the last earth What's that doll?" Hayden thought she looked adorable like she is now.
"My mother made it for me when I was little, I never left home without it..."

Kai want by the fire and gave them the rest of the honey biscuits while he ate some of the dried meat. "We will have to get going. I was thinking after we do search the cabin we could head to the air capital. I think it's weird that we haven't run into any of them since we have been in their territory for a day now."

Hayden nodded. "Yeah, probably for the best, we might find our air bender if we do." Hayden bit into one of the biscuits and his eyes widened. "These are so good!" He started mowing them down and Kara chuckled.
"Here you can have the rest of mine." She handed him her other two biscuits as she slowly ate her first one.

Kai gave Kara a firm look and handed a piece of the meat. "We have to go. Eat that on the walk." Kai put the fire out with dirt yet again and stood up, grabbing his bag and taking down the tent. It didn't take long to take down, but it was killer to fold.

Kara looked down and took the meat meekly then chuckled as she saw Kai struggling with the tent to fold it. "Here let me help." Kara took over and expertly folded the tent up and placed it in the bag as a perfect fit.

"Alright. Let's go." Kai headed off toward the cabin then realized something. "How much did you tell him?"

She looked at him confused. "I told him that about how I survived the attack and what Shala told me."
Hayden followed behind them curiously. "Oh?? Is there something I shouldn't know?"

Kai shook his head. He turned and continued on. He just wanted to know how much she trusted him. It seems that Kara's trust was easy to earn. He pushed those sour thoughts down. He didn't like the idea of being jealous.

Kara looked at him confused and put a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Kai? Are you ok? You've been acting weird lately..."

With that Kai did notice how drastic his behavior changed. He didn't like it. "No I'm fine." It changed due to Hayden. He didn't want to dislike him, it just happens. He took a deep breath and decided he will try his best to not act so angry and stand-offish. He didn't trust Hayden yet, but that doesn't make him a bad person.
The cabin appeared in the distance, they were almost there.

Kara swallowed nervously as they arrived at the door. Hayden put his hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, seriously, if you don't want to do this I'll stay out here with you..."
"N-No... I need to do this..."

Kai slowly open the door and stepped in. He kept an eye on Kara but he did begin searching.

Kara took a deep breath and stepped in, she tried not to gag as she looked around the blood stained house, the mats were tousled and a vase had broken. She took a deep, shaky breath and began to search as well.
Hayden kept near Kara at all times to make sure she was ok while he searched it took a while but he finally found something. "Hey guys, come look at this." He showed them a fan, it was a signature fire bender weapon. It had initials inscribed on it. A. M.

Kai went over and looked at the weapon. He tried to remember the warriors who were there that day, but could only remember the other water bender who was there. His name was Oscar. He was older and Kai knew of him but not personally. He never made it back.
"It's a clue, but I'm not sure if it isn't a fallen warriors." Kai said and then continued to look around. Then he found a small piece of circular fabric. He picked it up and it looked familiar. His eyes grew big as he placed here he saw it before. He was tempted to hide it, but knew it was important Kara had it.
"Kara, I-I found something. Just...prepare yourself." He held the little bracelet in his hand.
