Do you use online dating sites?

No. I once joined one because a friend invited me and I didn't know it was one until after I started receiving invitations and stuff.

That said I have no problems if other people want to use it, but I never felt the need to search for a relationship online or face to face.

They are waste of time, and insecure to surf in.

I hate online dating sites, because they are very similar to social networks. I firmly believe that if a person cannot find a partner in the real life, (s)he will not be able to communicate on an online dating site. Also, as far as I know, there are many issues that you can face, because the members of a dating site may not tell the whole truth. A friend had a not very good experience some years ago, so, I don't even want to register or to visit them.

I disagree with the Similarity part, but i agree with the ID faking part, i've seen many people faking themselves, the relationship in the online dating sites is always based on LIES!!!

I have to disagree with most of you on this. While I have never used an online dating site and likely never will, I do not believe that a dating site is a fruitless endeavor. I met my SO online, and I trust her fully. I honestly think the issue is more about the approach many people take to dating. However, that is a long topic I'd rather not get into.

Still doesn't change the fact that most of people fake their identities, however, it's nice to hear you found honest people.

I've personally never used them and don't think I ever will, but I'm not going to say they 'never' work. I mean, I've met plenty of people IRL who I made friends with originally online, so there's nothing to say I couldn't meet an eventual partner through similar means.

You do need to be wary because people are never the same IRL as they are behind the computer, whether they realise it or not.

I currently do not, and plan not to. There's nothing wrong with online dating sites, but I'm not the kind of person to use them. I hope to meet my partner in real life in person with no help of websites.

That said, my personal view is that they can be good vehicles to find new people. Yes, people can lie on them, but people can lie on anything. If one is using a dating site, one has to be cautious and use common sense. I know people who use dating sites, and it seems to be a long and tiring process to find a compatible person, but at the same time, you're receiving opportunities that you wouldn't have offline.

One has to remember that some people come from small towns where they know everyone, and they aren't keen on dating anyone because they don't like the potential partners or they don't have many choices. Others have health issues that keep them from going out and pursuing other offline paths. It is a good resource for some people.

I havent used one, nor do I want to. Plus even if I wanted to, I dont wouldnt need to at the mo but like I said, never have, dont want to eityer.

I've signed in before, but it didn't work out for me.
Though, I will say I have made a few friends through my experiences.
