Your voice seems familiar
Your smile gives me a feeling that
That makes me not so sure.
Why do I feel like
I’ve known you all my life
But I don’t remember a single thing.
Have I met you before?
The way you ask for my name
It’s different than the rest
Is it the tone of fearing that
You’ll lose me through that test?
When I ask who you are
I see your smile fade away.
I wish the memories would come back
So I can see that frown go away instead.
I try and try to remember how
Things were and used to be
But the same questions pops to me
Have I met you before?
On my way of coming home
I asked myself again
“Why can’t I remember now
How do I feel alone?”
I look on my table to see
A drawing of you and me
‘Us best friends will never part
For we were friends from the start
I hope none of us have to say
Have I met you before’
The tears fell from my face
Im sorry! I don’t remember!
Why can’t I wake from this nightmare
What haunts me in my waking?
The next day I saw you and
I slowly came to you
You asked why I was sad
I said why aren't you?
You smiled and looked at me
With that smile that ive seen before
You said because you are you
And you’ll remember me soon.
Then it came to me.
You were there all my life
The biggest problem is that
All that time I was afraid
That you would forget me.
I smiled and hugged with tears in my eyes
It was as clear as day
You asked why was I crying
And I simply looked up and said
I met you before.
